Jamie Carragher has made his prediction for the upcoming match between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Jamie Carragher is confident in his prediction for this weekend’s clash, suggesting that one team will have the upper hand: Liverpool or Nottingham Forest.

Liverpool will be back in action at Anfield, where they will face Nottingham Forest.

Under the management of Arne Slot, who took over from Jurgen Klopp this summer, Liverpool has enjoyed a perfect start with three wins and no goals conceded.

Key players such as Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, and Trent Alexander-Arnold have shown impressive form.

Despite the positive news, there was a setback as Harvey Elliott sustained a fractured foot while playing for the England U-21 team.

Carragher, speaking on Stick to Football, anticipates a comfortable 2-0 victory for Liverpool against Forest, suggesting that Slot may opt to rotate his squad in preparation for their UEFA Champions League match against AC Milan next week.

As Liverpool prepares for their first European fixture of the season at the San Siro on Tuesday, Carragher believes the team will manage their players carefully, keeping an eye on the upcoming challenge while still securing the three points against Forest.

He stated, “2-0, probably rest a couple for Milan. They’ll be in control and they’ll make it slower after an hour, so I’m going 2-0 with a couple of changes for the Milan game.”

It would be prudent for Slot to consider rotating Liverpool’s starting lineup against Forest.

In the initial three matches of the season, Slot has maintained a consistent approach with his selections, but this may change as Forest visits Anfield, especially with a trip to Italy on the horizon shortly thereafter.

Liverpool boasts a wealth of talent on the bench eager to showcase their abilities under Slot, including Darwin Nunez, Curtis Jones, and Federico Chiesa, who have seen limited action this season.

This weekend presents an excellent opportunity for several players on the periphery to make their mark, and many within the Liverpool squad will be looking forward to contributing some minutes against Forest at Anfield.
