DEAL FINALIZED: Newcastle has secured the signing of 23-year-old Bosnian international Amar Dedić from Benfica for a fee of €30 million. He is set to make his debut against Liverpool in the Premier League opener next weekend.

Interestingly, Dedić may reunite with his former coach Matthias Jaissle, who is currently managing Newcastle.

Newcastle has reached an agreement for a £30 million signing with Jaissle, aiming to unleash Dedić against Liverpool – Exclusive.

Newcastle United is working diligently to finalize the acquisition of Amar Dedić, ensuring that the Bosnian international can debut against Liverpool in the Premier League opener next weekend, as reported by TEAMtalk sources.

DEAL CONFIRMED

The 23-year-old Amar Dedić has agreed to personal terms with Newcastle. The Magpies have proposed a final fee of €30 million plus bonuses for the right-back.

Benfica acquired Dedić for €12 million last year from Salzburg. He has now accepted a long-term contract with the Premier League club, expressing a desire for the move.

We understand that an overall agreement worth up to £30 million has been reached in principle between Newcastle and Benfica, with only minor details remaining to be finalized.

Personal terms with Dedić are already established on a five-year contract, and Newcastle hopes to conduct his medical examination this weekend to expedite the transfer process.

Tino Livramento is currently unfit, and TEAMtalk understands that this has heightened Newcastle’s urgency to register Dedić and integrate him into the squad ahead of the match against Liverpool next Sunday.

Dedić’s versatility is a significant draw. While primarily a right-back, he is also capable of playing on the left and has experience in central defense, providing Matthias Jaissle with another flexible option.

This transfer would also reunite Dedić with Jaissle, who is familiar with the defender from their time together at RB Salzburg and Liefering.

TEAMtalk understands that Jaissle fully supports the transfer and believes Dedić can contribute immediately as he reshapes Newcastle’s squad.

The last aspects of the agreement are currently being finalized, yet Newcastle is growing more assured about finalizing the deal and desires Dedic to be ready for the journey to Liverpool.
