Arsenal’s potential opponents for the Champions League round of 16 have been confirmed, with the draw scheduled for Friday.

The Gunners enjoyed a successful group stage, finishing third with a total of 19 points, which secured their place in the knockout phase set to take place next month.

Following the knockout round play-offs, Arsenal has identified two possible rivals. Feyenoord recently triumphed over AC Milan with a 2-1 aggregate score.

Despite a lackluster season in the Eredivisie, where they currently sit fourth, Feyenoord has made a significant impact in European competitions, notably defeating teams like Bayern Munich.

Should Arsenal be matched against Feyenoord, there may be some history to revisit. Former striker Robin van Persie, who has garnered a mixed reception from fans, is expected to be named Feyenoord’s new head coach shortly.

His return to the Emirates Stadium is likely to provoke a lively atmosphere among supporters.

In addition to Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven is another possible opponent for Arsenal. PSV managed to turn around a 2-1 deficit against Juventus, winning 3-1 in extra time during their home leg of the knockout play-off.

Arsenal and PSV have met in European competitions over the past two seasons, with the Gunners winning both home matches while experiencing a draw and a loss in their away encounters.

Mikel Arteta’s team will play the first leg of the round of 16 in the Netherlands on March 4 or 5, followed by the return leg at the Emirates on March 11 or 12.

While the draw appears favorable for Arsenal, they must remain vigilant and deliver strong performances to advance to the quarter-finals.

The draw for the subsequent stages of the tournament will take place on Friday, with Arsenal potentially facing one of Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, or Bayer Leverkusen if they progress to the last eight.
