Arsenal player ratings against Everton highlight the determination displayed by Tomiyasu and Odegaard, while Partey’s performance fell short.

David Raya: Despite conceding a deflected free kick, Raya showcased his skills with a brilliantly-held save against Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Additionally, he displayed competence in distributing the ball. Rating: 6.

Ben White: White actively pushed forward in Arsenal’s pursuit of a crucial goal. Although his delivery was not consistently accurate, his overall performance was commendable, concluding the season on a positive note. Rating: 6.

William Saliba: Everton’s relentless attacks forced Saliba and the Arsenal defense to retreat frequently, an uncommon sight. However, Saliba managed to avoid any glaring mistakes. Rating: 6.

Gabriel: Unfortunately, Gabriel had to leave the pitch due to a shoulder injury just before the Copa America. Nevertheless, he performed admirably during his time on the field, making minimal errors. Rating: 6.

Takehiro Tomiyasu: Surprisingly emerged as one of Arsenal’s most dangerous attacking options. Managed to find the back of the net and could have scored more. Demonstrated his versatility by filling in as a left back towards the end of the game. Rating: 8.

Thomas Partey: Once again, his ball control was not up to par. Made a few inaccurate passes and struggled under pressure. Showed glimpses of promise when moving forward, but his performance did not indicate that he is the long-term solution as a defensive midfielder for Arsenal. Rating: 5.

Martin Odegaard: Despite the disheartening news coming in from the Etihad Stadium, he tried to lift the team’s spirits. Provided a fantastic assist for Tomiyasu’s goal. Rating: 7.

Declan Rice: In the number eight position, he failed to pose a significant threat in attack. Even missed a good opportunity to score. Unfortunately, he deflected Everton’s free kick into the net. Overall, it was not a standout performance. Rating: 5.

Gabriel Martinelli: Showed some promising moments on the right flank, including a powerful shot that was saved brilliantly by Pickford. One of his stronger recent performances. Rating: 7.

Kai Havertz: Made a few good runs in behind the defense, but was relatively quiet in terms of offensive impact until scoring the late winning goal. Rating: 6.

Leandro Trossard: Had a subdued performance compared to his recent influential displays. Didn’t make much of an impact in attack. Rating: 6.

SUBSTITUTES –

Oleksandr Zinchenko: Provided some attacking impetus on the left side after being brought on. Mostly quiet otherwise. Rating: 6.

Jurrien Timber: A positive substitution. Seemed comfortable with Arsenal’s tactical approach. Rating: 6.

Emile Smith Rowe: Injected energy into the game after coming off the bench. Posed a real threat in attack, hitting the crossbar with a close-range volley. Looked likely to score for Arsenal. Rating: 7.

Gabriel Jesus: Showed creativity in setting up a goal, although there were doubts about its validity. Deserved credit for his proactive play in the forward position. Rating: 7.
