Arsenal eyes an impressive £150m double raid, with Arteta keen on landing a prolific striker.

Arteta’s ambitious plans involve an incredible £150m double raid, as Arsenal sets its sights on acquiring a highly successful 24-year-old striker.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly eyeing a sensational £150m swoop for two Newcastle United stars, with the Spanish manager eager to secure the services of a highly prolific 24-year-old striker.

The Gunners have shown significant improvement in recent seasons, positioning themselves as strong contenders to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title. Despite narrowly missing out on the championship last season, Arsenal currently hold a one-point lead over Pep Guardiola’s side with only two matches remaining in the campaign.

Although City still have a game in hand, Guardiola’s team will likely need a victory against Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday, May 14, in order to secure their fourth consecutive league title.

Arsenal, like any well-managed club, acknowledges the need for further improvements. In their summer transfer strategy, the Gunners are determined to address two perceived areas of weakness in their squad.

Firstly, Arteta’s team would greatly benefit from acquiring a top-class midfield partner for Declan Rice, who is a strong contender for Player of the Year. Last summer, Arsenal invested £105m to bring Rice from West Ham to London, and the 25-year-old has proven himself worthy of this significant investment.

Although Jorginho is likely to remain at the club, Arsenal would still benefit from upgrading Thomas Partey, who has struggled with injuries this season. Our sources have revealed that Arsenal is open to allowing Partey to move on if they receive a suitable offer this summer.

Furthermore, there is optimism within Arsenal that a potential transfer raid on Newcastle for Bruno Guimaraes could be successful.

Arteta Eyes Isak And Guimaraes In £150m Double Transfer

Newcastle may have to consider selling one of their key players this summer to adhere to their FFP regulations.

With Guimaraes valued at a minimum of £80m, the Brazilian midfielder could be the one to potentially leave the club.

However, reports from the Independent suggest that Arteta is also interested in bringing in another player from Newcastle, namely star striker Alexander Isak.

Despite scoring 88 goals in the Premier League this season, making them the most prolific team in the league, Arteta is looking to bolster his attacking options with Isak due to the lack of prolificacy from their current strikers Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.

Jesus will still be part of the team, but there are offers being considered for Nketiah, who is eager to stay close to his London roots.

The club is looking at several high-profile replacements for the upcoming season, including Osimhen, Zirkzee, Gyokeres, and Toney.

However, the Independent now reports that Isak, the Swedish striker, has emerged as Arsenal’s top target. Isak, who is 24 years old, has been scoring consistently for Newcastle since his move in 2022, despite some injury setbacks.

He has an impressive record of 24 goals in 37 appearances this season, and has been capped 44 times for Sweden.

Arsenal’s interest in Newcastle striker Isak has been given approval. Newcastle, however, would be reluctant to let go of their valuable frontman, especially considering the difficulty they would face in finding a suitable replacement. Eddie Howe, the manager, is expected to put up a strong fight to retain Isak in the team.

Isak himself has expressed his contentment with his current situation in the north east and is not actively seeking a transfer.

Nevertheless, if Arsenal were to make a concrete offer, it would be hard for him to resist the allure of Champions League football and a club that appears to be progressing under Arteta. Rumors suggest that Arsenal might make a £150m bid for both Guimaraes and Isak.

Such a move would essentially deplete Arsenal’s entire summer budget on the two Newcastle players. However, both Arteta and Edu believe that investing in quality rather than quantity is necessary for the north London club to take the next step forward.

According to former Tottenham striker and TalkSPORT pundit Darren Bent, signing both Newcastle players would greatly enhance Arsenal’s chances of competing for major trophies.

Bent even suggests that he would allocate the entire transfer budget of £150m to secure their services. When asked about the potential impact of adding the Brazilian player to Arsenal’s midfield, Bent mentioned the names of Bruno, Declan Rice, and Martin Odegaard.

Another pundit, Andy Goldstein, chimed in by stating that acquiring these two players would significantly strengthen Arsenal’s squad. Goldstein goes on to say that with these additions, along with addressing the left-back position, Arsenal would have their best possible chance of winning the Champions League in the following season.

It is worth noting that Arsenal reached the quarter-finals of the competition this season but were narrowly eliminated by Bayern Munich, who emerged victorious with a 3-2 aggregate score.
