Martin Keown is confident that Arsenal has already made one signing for the summer transfer period.

Martin Keown believes that Arsenal has already secured a signing for the upcoming summer transfer window.

As Arsenal approaches another summer of transfers, the club faces significant challenges ahead.

With the team likely to fall short in the title race this season, it is clear that they require additional reinforcements to compete effectively next year.

It is evident that the priority for Arsenal should be to strengthen their attacking options, particularly in the striker position.

The absence of Kai Havertz for the remainder of the season has underscored the current lack of depth in their offensive lineup.

During a discussion on TNT Sports, Martin Keown shared his thoughts on Arsenal’s pursuit of a new striker, presenting an intriguing perspective.

Keown posits that Arsenal may have already finalized a deal for a striker, asserting that the club will not repeat the oversight of neglecting to sign a center-forward this summer.

He mentioned, “Sesko at Leipzig is a more attainable option than Isak, and he’s a promising talent.”

“I would suggest that a player has already been acquired, and from Arsenal’s standpoint, it’s a done deal. They won’t make this mistake again,” Keown stated.

However, while Keown’s theory is optimistic, it may not reflect the current reality.

The notion that Arsenal has already secured a new striker is exciting, but the club’s transfer operations are currently in disarray.

With Edu having resigned earlier this year and Andrea Berta expected to join soon, the finalization of that deal is still pending.

It is unreasonable to assume that Arsenal has finalized an agreement for a new striker, as they are currently awaiting the arrival of their new Sporting Director.

Nonetheless, Arsenal has several potential targets as they approach the summer transfer window.

Benjamin Sesko has been associated with the club, and Mikel Arteta may revisit his interest in Ollie Watkins.

Additionally, Alexander Isak has frequently been mentioned in connection with Arsenal.

While a deal is likely not completed at this stage, it is clear that Arsenal intends to acquire a new number nine this summer.
