Arsenal has reached an agreement with Liverpool regarding an exciting forward.

Arsenal has reached an agreement with Vincent Joseph, a striker from Liverpool’s academy, regarding a transfer to north London, with both clubs currently negotiating the fee for the 16-year-old.

If a mutual agreement on the fee cannot be achieved, a tribunal will determine the amount owed to Liverpool, as this process is required when a player under 24 changes clubs before signing their first professional contract or after their professional terms have expired.

The young forward did not sign scholarship terms with Liverpool this summer following the end of his schoolboy registration contract.

Liverpool’s loss is Arsenal’s opportunity.

Liverpool supporters and academy officials are likely to feel disappointed by Arsenal’s agreement with Joseph, whose impressive scoring record at the youth level suggests significant potential.

He netted three goals in just two appearances in the Under-18 Premier League last season and has an impressive record of eight goals in nine appearances for England’s under-16 team, including a hat-trick against the Netherlands last December (Transfemarkt).

Although the Reds have taken proactive steps to offer professional contracts to other academy talents like Lucas Clarke, they have not experienced the same success with the 16-year-old striker, who now appears ready to join the Gunners.

Similar to how Liverpool quickly acquired Ngumoha from Chelsea’s academy shortly after his 16th birthday, with the transfer fee ultimately determined by a tribunal, Arsenal is set to replicate this with Joseph.
