In the latest on Newcastle United’s transfers, Nick Woltemade has arrived in Turin to finalize his loan transfer to Juventus.

The German forward has reached Turin to complete his loan deal from Newcastle United to Juventus.

Woltemade will be departing on loan without any option or obligation for a permanent transfer. This move follows his record-setting £65 million transfer from VfB Stuttgart last year.

On deadline day, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared a video of Woltemade’s arrival in Turin as he prepares to finalize his loan.

This development comes after the German forward netted 11 goals in 51 appearances for Newcastle last season, although he was an unused substitute in Matthias Jaissle’s inaugural Premier League match against Liverpool. The 24-year-old did come off the bench to assist Yoane Wissa in Newcastle’s 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, but he has been made available for loan due to his diminished role in both the striker and No. 10 positions.

The signing of Matias Fernandez-Pardo has facilitated Woltemade’s temporary departure after just one year at St James’ Park. The 21-year-old Belgian has signed a five-year contract with the club following the completion of his medical.

Newcastle United’s pursuit of an additional attacking option is intensifying, with Matthias Jaissle’s team exploring various avenues as the transfer window nears its conclusion.

Matias Fernandez-Pardo remains the primary target, with Newcastle close to reaching an agreement with Lille, but the Magpies may also be considering another versatile attacker from Italy’s Serie A.

TEAMtalk’s Graeme Bailey later provided more insights, indicating that Soule has been included in Newcastle’s attacking shortlist alongside Fernandez-Pardo and Stuttgart’s Bilal E.

Newcastle United is in competition with their North East rivals, Sunderland, for the acquisition of Roma winger Matias Soule, as reported by TEAMtalk. Bailey noted that Soule has been on Sunderland’s radar all summer, with the Black Cats making an attempt to sign the Argentine international in July. However, they could not finalize terms with Roma at that time, and the 23-year-old has remained in the Italian capital while the Serie A club evaluated their options.

According to TEAMtalk, Roma had contemplated retaining Soule, but the Serie A team is looking to add more attacking players. These new signings could potentially pave the way for the Argentine to depart before Tuesday’s deadline, with TEAMtalk indicating that a transfer is becoming more probable.

Newcastle is not the only club interested in Soule; TEAMtalk has reported that Sunderland has been monitoring the former Juventus player throughout the summer and previously made an approach in July without reaching an agreement with Roma. Fulham, Everton, and Brighton have also expressed interest, while AC Milan has engaged in discussions about a possible transfer.

The 23-year-old Argentine international primarily played as a No. 10 or second striker last season but is also capable of playing on the right wing and cutting inside onto his favored left foot. Soule concluded the season with seven goals and eight assists.
