Arsenal Finalizes Deal for ‘Elite’ Forward

Personal terms have been settled: Berta is nearing the completion of a deal to acquire the next Bukayo Saka – opinion.

According to David Ornstein, Arsenal has secured a deal to sign Christos Tzolis, a forward from Club Brugge.

The Gunners are eager to revamp their squad this summer after winning their first Premier League title since 2004 last season, in addition to reaching the finals of the Carabao Cup and Champions League, where they were defeated by Man City and PSG, respectively.

Mikel Arteta has already permitted Leandro Trossard to leave the club in a £17m transfer to Besiktas, and now the team has finalized a deal to acquire his replacement in a significant move for the north London club.

Arsenal Finalizes Tzolis Agreement

Tzolis, labeled as ‘elite’, had an impressive season with 22 goals and 29 assists across all competitions for the Belgian team, drawing attention from several top European clubs.

However, the Gunners have outpaced their rivals for his signature and have agreed to meet Brugge’s €40m (£34m) asking price to finalize the transfer. The winger has already committed to Arsenal, prioritizing a move to the Emirates Stadium over other options.

As per Ornstein, a long-term contract is expected to be signed soon, with the deal nearing completion in the upcoming days. Reports from Greece suggest that the agreement could be finalized before Monday, July 20th, when Arsenal is scheduled to return for pre-season training.

The pursuit of Tzolis is viewed as entirely separate from interest in Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers or any other forward, with Arsenal considering him more of a long-term investment rather than an immediate starter in the lineup.

Arsenal Aiming for Historic Achievements

After claiming their first Premier League title in 22 years last season, Arsenal is now striving to make history and recognizes the need for additional reinforcements to achieve their goals.

The Gunners have yet to secure consecutive league titles throughout their history, and they are eager to advance further in the Champions League as well. Acquiring players who can clinch victories will be crucial for this goal, and Tzolis has demonstrated his ability to deliver the decisive pass or shot in the final third that can turn the tide.

In today’s market, a £34m deal represents excellent value for a player like the Greek international, especially after the season he has had. Arsenal finds themselves in a more advantageous position after effectively swapping him for the veteran Trossard.
