ESPN pundit claims FSG will soon take massive decision which’ll make Liverpool fans ‘very happy’…

ESPN analyst suggests that FSG is poised to make a significant decision that will delight Liverpool supporters.

Frank Leboeuf is of the opinion that Liverpool will undergo a managerial change this summer, as pressure mounts on Arne Slot.

The head coach’s position appears increasingly precarious following the unrest witnessed at Anfield on Saturday, with numerous journalists indicating that the fans’ patience may have finally reached its limit.

Fabrizio Romano reported over the weekend that FSG intends to retain the Dutchman, yet one World Cup-winning defender believes that the club’s leadership will soon end the current coach’s tenure and bring in Xabi Alonso as his replacement.

Leboeuf anticipates that Liverpool will appoint Alonso this summer.

During a segment on ESPN FC, Leboeuf remarked: “Slot has introduced new players, but I would argue that the tactics have been lacking, given the resources at his disposal, and we have witnessed the team’s decline. I believe this is nearing its conclusion. I don’t see how he can transform it into a better squad.

“He mentioned that he nearly has the formula for next season. I’m uncertain how he plans to achieve that, especially with the World Cup on the horizon, so I doubt that will materialize.

“I don’t believe the board will be patient, particularly since Xabi Alonso is available. Why would they wait for Slot to discover a new approach? I think they will dismiss him. I expect they will hire Xabi Alonso, and the fans will be very pleased.”

Liverpool needs to act decisively while Alonso is still an option.

The official stance from various credible sources seems to indicate that FSG will continue with Slot for now, but the atmosphere of dissent at Anfield on Saturday must have been difficult for the management to overlook.

As Leboeuf pointed out, the Dutchman’s assurances that conditions will improve under his leadership next season ring hollow after the Kopites have had to endure a season filled with disappointing results and lackluster performances, with the draw against Chelsea being the most recent example of both.

David Ornstein stated last month that Alonso is not currently in FSG’s considerations, but the Liverpool management must be tempted to at least reach out to the Spaniard while he remains available, having been unemployed since his dismissal from Real Madrid four months ago.

There is increasing speculation regarding a possible transfer to Chelsea for our former midfielder, as the Blues are searching for a permanent replacement for Liam Rosenior. The risk is that the Merseysiders could miss out if they do not act swiftly now.

Leboeuf appears confident that the ex-Liverpool player will succeed Slot this summer, and he is correct in asserting that such a hiring would be enthusiastically welcomed by a fan base that needs some uplifting after a thoroughly disappointing season.
