Andre Trindade is on his way to England after Liverpool’s €30m offer was rejected,
Andre Trindade, who is currently engaged in ‘advanced negotiations’, is set to make a trip to England after Liverpool rejected a €30m bid.
The midfielder is now being pursued by Liverpool’s Premier League rivals, who are eager to secure his services.
Last summer, Liverpool attempted to sign Trindade but were unsuccessful.
With the unexpected departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, Liverpool turned their attention to South America, where Trindade quickly caught the eye of Kopites.
The Brazilian midfielder generated a lot of interest, with fans and club officials alike believing he could be the solution to Liverpool’s midfield conundrum in both the short and long term.
However, Liverpool failed to finalize the deal. Fluminense remained firm in their decision that Andre would not leave the club, as they aimed to win the Copa Libertadores title for the first time.
According to Globo, a €30 million offer from Liverpool was rejected.
Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt emphasized that the Reds might revive their interest in Andre once the Brazilian season concluded.
He mentioned, “In the case of Liverpool, I go even further. Liverpool’s chief executive reached out to me directly. I responded, ‘My friend, I don’t sell players now and I don’t deliver now.
” If you want to buy now to take in January we can start talking, or if you want to wait until December and we talk in December.”
Liverpool refrained from pursuing Andre when the January transfer window commenced. The team was content with Wataru Endo’s performance, who arrived unexpectedly from Stuttgart in the summer, and Alexis Mac Allister, who had been playing in the No.6 position after being signed from Brighton.
There has been speculation about Liverpool’s potential pursuit of a new defensive midfielder this summer.
Endo, at 31, has acknowledged that it might be a good idea for the Reds to expand their options.
However, if Slot does believe that reinforcements are necessary, Andre is not an option for Liverpool.
This is because the 22-year-old appears to be on the verge of joining one of Liverpool’s Premier League rivals.
Fulham recently completed the transfer of Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich for a fee of £47 million plus additional bonuses.
The club is now focused on finding a suitable replacement for the highly-rated Portugal international.
Marco Silva’s team has set their sights on Andre as the ideal candidate for the role.
Andre Trindade, involved in ‘top-level talks’, is on his way to England after Liverpool turned down their €30m bid.
According to Trivela, negotiations are at an ‘advanced’ stage, with the player’s agent already in London to finalize the agreement.
Fulham has submitted an initial offer of approximately €25 million, although Fluminese is holding out for a fee closer to €30 million.
