Injury specialist forecasts the duration Gabriel will be sidelined for Arsenal after he limped off during the Tottenham vs Liverpool match.

An injury specialist has provided an update regarding Liverpool striker Isak, who was substituted during Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham on Saturday due to an injury. Physio Scout has shared their insights on the possible injury. Their evaluation indicated that injuries near the hip tend to be more severe, and while most players might return within…

Liverpool is concerned that striker Alexander Isak has sustained a ‘significant’ leg injury following their victory against Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend, as reported by David Ornstein.

Isak scored in the second half against Spurs after coming off the bench, receiving a through ball from Florian Wirtz and skillfully placing it past the goalkeeper. Unfortunately for the Swedish forward, he collided with Micky Van de Ven while scoring, which prevented him from continuing.

Isak appeared to be in considerable discomfort as he limped off the field, with the former Newcastle United player visibly in pain.

His goal for the Merseyside team demonstrated his true potential after a challenging start at Anfield, and it is unfortunate that he will likely be sidelined for some time after finally scoring.

Isak Suffers ‘Significant’ Leg Injury for Liverpool

As per The Athletic’s Ornstein, Liverpool is apprehensive that striker Isak has incurred a ‘significant’ leg injury following their match against Tottenham on Saturday.

The Reds are awaiting scan results after the incident, but there are concerns regarding the severity of the damage to his lower leg.

Ornstein also noted that with Mohamed Salah departing for the African Cup of Nations, this period was seen as an opportunity for Isak to secure a place in the lineup, alongside Hugo Ekitike. Arne Slot will need to manage Ekitike carefully, given the limited attacking options with Isak currently undergoing treatment.

Journalist Mike Keegan has reported that Liverpool has dismissed the possibility of ACL damage for Isak; however, it still seems to be a serious injury.

Unfortunate Timing for Isak

Sustaining an injury while scoring a goal, which has been a rare occurrence for Isak during his tenure at Liverpool, is incredibly unfortunate for the Swedish international.

His impressive finish against Spurs could have been the turning point for his Liverpool career, but now he is left contemplating what might have been.

His development has encountered a major setback, and while the duration of his absence remains uncertain, it is a concerning setback for both him and the club.

There is still ample time left in the season for him to make a significant contribution, but it appears that he will be sidelined for some time.
