Liverpool receives significant boost in pursuit of Isak as deal is finalized.

Alexander Isak: Liverpool gains substantial transfer advantage in striker chase as agreement reached.

The Premier League champions are preparing to make another bid for their primary target.

Liverpool’s chase for Alexander Isak appears to be picking up steam once again, as the Reds have been given a considerable boost to their transfer budget.

Last week, the Premier League champions had a £110 million plus add-ons offer rejected by Newcastle for the Swedish international, and shortly after, it was reported that their interest in the striker had waned.

However, this position is now thought to have shifted, with Liverpool close to a significant sale that will enhance their transfer funds.

According to various reports, Liverpool has come to an agreement to sell striker Darwin Nunez to Al-Hilal, who had identified the Uruguayan as their ‘priority’ target after failing to secure Victor Osimhen, who has made his loan move to Galatasaray permanent.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Saudi Pro League club is nearing the signing of Nunez, which would greatly improve Liverpool’s chances of acquiring Isak.

The Italian journalist noted that the Reds would receive £46 million plus add-ons for the forward.

Not only does Nunez’s potential departure create space for another player in Arne Slot’s attacking lineup, but it also generates essential funds for Liverpool to add to their initial offer for Isak as they prepare to challenge Newcastle’s stance once again.

The Daily Mail previously reported that the Magpies were aiming for around £150 million for their star player, and the money generated from Nunez’s sale will assist Liverpool in approaching that amount.

Liverpool has already invested over £200 million this summer, with the signings of Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Hugo Ekitike, and Giorgi Mamardashvili.
