12 MINUTES BEFORE DISASTER: CCTV has released an audio recording of Diogo Jota’s last phone call prior to the crash. The conversation is hauntingly prophetic, sending chills to those who listen.

In his final hours, Diogo Jota was in a ‘happy moment’ during a heartbreaking last phone call.

Diogo Jota, who sadly lost his life in a road traffic accident on Thursday (July 3), was in a “happy moment” as indicated by his final phone call.

Before his tragic death, Diogo Jota was indeed in a “happy moment”.

At the age of 28, Jota lost his life in a road traffic accident along with his brother, Andre Silva, when their Lamborghini veered off the road due to a tyre blowout while overtaking another vehicle, subsequently catching fire.

Prior to the accident, the forward had a conversation with the president of Gondomar while driving towards Zamora, Spain.

Álvaro Cerqueira, the president of Gondomar SC, was reportedly one of the last individuals Diogo Jota communicated with before the tragedy, having spoken to the Liverpool star just a couple of hours before his untimely death.

“It was just after 10 pm last night; we were on the phone and he seemed fine,” stated the president of the club where Jota began his training and took his initial steps towards becoming a globally recognized player, as he told JN.

Cerqueira and Jota maintained regular communication: “We spoke almost every week, and I knew he was experiencing a happy moment,” he added.

Even though Jota played for Liverpool and André Silva had moved to Penafiel for the last two seasons, the pitch at the São Miguel Stadium was always accessible to the brothers.
