Trent Alexander-Arnold has disclosed the reasons behind his departure from Liverpool to join Real Madrid on a five-year contract.

Reports confirm that Trent Alexander-Arnold’s exit has been finalized, with Real Madrid securing the Liverpool star on a five-year deal.

According to sources, Alexander-Arnold has come to an agreement with Real Madrid regarding his transfer, which is now considered settled.

His exit has been a topic of discussion for some time, especially since he, along with Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, will be out of contract at Liverpool at the end of the season.

However, at just 26 years old, he has attracted more attention than his teammates.

Liverpool recognizes that losing Alexander-Arnold would mean sacrificing several prime years of talent, and Real Madrid is aware that they could benefit from his skills for an extended period.

The Spanish club had previously made an attempt to sign him in January, which would have allowed Liverpool to receive a transfer fee, but the Reds declined the offer, and that opportunity was lost.

Reports indicate that Liverpool’s contract proposals have been rejected multiple times by the right-back, with Sky Sports’ Sacha Tavolieri noting that these repeated efforts have been unsuccessful.

The report confirms that his transfer to Real Madrid is now finalized, with the club having reached an agreement for a five-year contract.

Alexander-Arnold is expected to earn €15 million (£12.5 million) annually, which is comparable to a substantial transfer fee.

Real Madrid can afford to offer higher wages since they are not paying an actual transfer fee for him.

It is suggested that nothing will alter the defender’s decision at this point.

Additionally, Real Madrid could potentially impact Liverpool’s defensive strategy. The Reds are reportedly exploring options to sign Bournemouth center-back Dean Huijsen.

However, following their agreement with Alexander-Arnold, Real Madrid is said to be progressing towards acquiring Huijsen, who is believed to have made the decision to leave England and is eager to return to Spain.
