Trent Alexander-Arnold discloses private messages from Liverpool players ahead of his return to Anfield.

The former Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold may make a comeback to Anfield next week as Real Madrid faces the Premier League in the Champions League.

Alexander-Arnold has shared that he found humor in the thought of reuniting with his former teammates Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson.

The Reds academy graduate is poised to return to Anfield next week, with Liverpool set to compete against Real Madrid in the Champions League.

There is a possibility that Alexander-Arnold will receive a somewhat unfriendly welcome from fans, who are still displeased with the circumstances surrounding his exit.

Despite this, the England international has expressed that he will never hold any resentment towards Liverpool supporters.

He also mentioned having a lighthearted text conversation with several of his former teammates upon learning that Liverpool would face Real Madrid.

In an interview with Prime Video Sport, Alexander-Arnold stated: “Whatever way I’m received, is the decision of the fans. I’ll always love the club, I’ll always be a fan of the club.

“I’ll always be grateful for the opportunities and the achievements we shared… they will stay with me forever.

Regardless of the reception, my feelings towards Liverpool will not change. I have memories there that will last a lifetime, and no matter how I’m received, that won’t alter.”

He continued: “When the draw was revealed, everyone anticipated it; it was meant to be that fixture. It will be a challenging match, and the reception and atmosphere will play a role in that.

Even though they (Liverpool) haven’t had the best results recently, they remain a top footballing team, and no one here believes it will be an easy match.”

Currently, there is uncertainty regarding Alexander-Arnold’s inclusion in the team. He was anticipated to play this weekend against Valencia, but Xabi Alonso chose midfielder Federico Valverde instead.

Regardless, Alexander-Arnold has vowed not to celebrate if he scores at Anfield. He stated: “If I were to score, I wouldn’t celebrate. No.”

The defender has also shared what led him to consider a move away from Anfield. It seems that his England teammate Jude Bellingham played a significant role in this decision.

He mentioned: “There was a lot of speculation… the ‘agent Jude’ talk. It was particularly during his first season (at Real Madrid)… we would meet at England camps, and everyone was curious about what it was like behind the scenes (at Real Madrid)… he described it as incredible, saying he had never experienced anything like it.

“The ambition of the entire club, the drive to win, and the expectations to succeed. He spoke very highly of the club, and ultimately, I realized I needed a change for myself. I was seeking a new challenge both on and off the pitch.
