Sunderland transfer news: An update on Reinildo has surfaced, with the Black Cats nearing two announcements.

Sunderland is on the verge of revealing two new transfers as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Reinildo Mandava is about to become a Sunderland player after completing a medical examination in Madrid.

According to Sky Sports, the 31-year-old left back has finalized a two-year contract to join the Black Cats following the end of his contract with Atletico Madrid.

Mandava is expected to be officially announced as a Black Cat once all required paperwork is finalized, and he will then head to Wearside to join his new teammates later this week.

Reinildo, who is also adept at playing in central defense, will add considerable competition and valuable experience to Sunderland’s defensive lineup as they return to the Premier League after an eight-year hiatus.

The Black Cats are nearing another addition to their squad in preparation for the new season.

Sunderland is also very close to securing Club Brugge winger Chemsdine Talbi in a deal that could ultimately reach €20 million.

Talbi came to Wearside for his medical earlier this week, and it is believed that the deal is now on the brink of completion.

Sunderland still has a lot to accomplish in the transfer market and is actively seeking several additional deals following the appointment of Florent Ghisolfi as the club’s new director of football.

Chelsea goalkeeper Djorde Petrovic is one of the targets, although there is considerable competition from Premier League rivals.

Sunderland is also reported to have initiated discussions with Sassuolo in their efforts to sign forward Armand Lauriente, although reports from Italy indicate that the two clubs are currently at odds regarding their initial valuations during the early stages of negotiations.

Sunderland is close to finalizing a significant outgoing deal, with Pierre Ekwah nearing a permanent loan move to AS Saint-Etienne.
