Sources: Liverpool and Chelsea players are “firmly” on Real Madrid’s transfer target list.

Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister and Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez are included among Real Madrid’s target names.

As initially reported in the Daily Briefing, Xabi Alonso is actively seeking signings in this position after missing out on Arsenal’s Martin Zubimendi.

Currently, the players on Madrid’s radar include Mac Allister, Fernandez, along with Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton and AZ Alkmaar’s promising talent Kees Smit.

Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo represents a different deal to monitor, as he is perceived to fulfill a distinct midfield role compared to the others.

Sources regarding Real Madrid’s interest in Alexis Mac Allister and Enzo Fernandez

A prominent industry source informed me: “Real Madrid is interested in Alexis Mac Allister. Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea, Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace, and Kees Smit from AZ Alkmaar are all firmly on Madrid’s radar.”

It will be intriguing to observe how this situation unfolds, but it is likely that Mac Allister and Fernandez will not be easy targets to acquire.

Liverpool and Chelsea typically do not operate as selling clubs, so high-profile players like these are likely part of their long-term strategies and will only leave for substantial offers.

Real Madrid aims to revamp their midfield

It appears Alonso is eager to modify the midfield he has inherited at the Bernabeu, with a player similar to Zubimendi being sought.

There are also indications that Caicedo could be pursued as an enhancement over Aurelien Tchouameni in that midfield area.

However, Wharton may be the most feasible option, as it is difficult to envision Crystal Palace retaining the talented young England international, similar to the situations with Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze during the past two summer transfer windows.
