Slot provides insight into Isak’s fitness ahead of the match against Manchester United.

Slot offers a clue regarding his preferred striker.

The most recent news regarding Liverpool’s record signing has emerged just before the Premier League match at Anfield this weekend.

During his pre-match press conference for Manchester United at the AXA Training Centre, Arne Slot was inquired about Alexander Isak’s fitness status.

“He has undergone five or six weeks of pre-season, which is standard,” Slot informed the media. “In terms of fitness, he is nearing the required level, and we can evaluate him fairly from this point onward.”

The 47-year-old added: “I understand how this industry operates — if he plays twice and fails to score, that’s not ideal. However, he hasn’t, and I believe his pre-season may have concluded now.

“He has participated in a few matches, playing 70–80 minutes. So let’s assess his current condition.”

Isak nearing full fitness.

Isak’s remarks during his international duty with Sweden last week indicated he is prepared to play a significant role.

“Tomorrow I’ll be ready for 90 minutes if necessary,” the striker stated. “It’s been a month since the last international break.

“I’ve gained a lot more playing time, and things have settled down. I feel much better now than I did last time.”

A disappointing loss to Kosovo was not the ideal scenario for the week, but having our new No.9 confirmed fit for full matches is undoubtedly a positive for us.

Liverpool fans will be keen to see the £125m forward capitalize on his playing time, especially considering how vital goals could be in this early title defense.

Slot’s cautious remarks imply that Isak might start against United — although with Hugo Ekitike also vying for a spot, the manager certainly has options in attack.

Liverpool’s new attacking lineup is taking form.

With Florian Wirtz also gaining momentum behind the strikers, Liverpool’s offensive strategy is rapidly developing under our revamped system.

The 26-year-old Swede has been diligently working on his fitness for weeks, and we may finally witness him unleashed at Anfield.
