Report: A £43 million attacker is now focusing on a move to Arsenal this summer, with manager Mikel Arteta reportedly urging the board to finalize the deal.

The player is keen on relocating to north London. Sporting director Edu is also looking to bring in a new forward, goalkeeper, defender, and midfielder to enhance Arsenal’s squad.

Despite a potential 89-point finish in the 2023/2024 season, the Gunners face tough competition from the dominant Manchester City side led by Pep Guardiola.

If Arsenal can secure a victory against Everton in their upcoming match, they will surpass the 90-goal mark for the season. This achievement is particularly impressive considering the absence of a world-class, natural number nine for a significant portion of the campaign.

Kai Havertz has excelled in a makeshift forward position under Arteta, to the extent that there are now doubts surrounding the future of Gabriel Jesus, who is rumored to be attracting interest from Saudi Arabia.

Nevertheless, Edu remains determined to sign a new striker for Arsenal during the summer transfer window, despite the excellent form displayed by the German player. This intention is reinforced by Fabrizio Romano, who suggests that Arsenal are poised to acquire an “important” center-forward when the transfer window reopens.

Another trustworthy journalist, Charles Watts, stated that it is widely known that Arsenal is keen on acquiring a striker during this summer transfer window.

Alongside a midfielder and potentially another wide attacker, signing a striker will be their top priority. It will be intriguing to observe whether they will pursue Victor Osimhen.

Similar to Toney, Osimhen is a player that Arsenal admires, and I am aware that his representatives have already visited Arsenal’s training ground to engage in discussions with Edu. These discussions occurred last summer when Arsenal ultimately secured the signing of Gabriel Jesus.

Although Jesus was their primary target that year, Osimhen was certainly considered as a viable alternative. While the interest in Osimhen persists, it is possible that the Nigerian player might prove to be too expensive of an option.

The interest in the Nigerian player will persist, but he may end up being too expensive of an option. Alongside Osimhen, there have been several other players linked to a potential move to the Emirates Stadium, such as Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.

There is an interesting update regarding Sesko’s potential move to Arsenal. According to CaughtOffside, Sesko is prioritizing a move to Arsenal, and Arteta has urged the board to sign him as a priority target. It is rumored that Arsenal is willing to pay his £43 million release clause, and initial discussions have already taken place regarding the transfer of the Slovenian international.

Standing at 6 foot 5, Sesko has scored 17 goals in all competitions for Leipzig this season, making him a potentially valuable addition to Arsenal’s squad. Signing him through his release clause would also allow Arsenal to bypass negotiations with the club and focus on discussing personal terms with the player.
