Arsenal is reportedly making plans to pursue a £120 million striker next summer.

Arsenal is firmly set on making a move for a striker priced at £120 million in the summer transfer market.

Despite securing permanent deals for David Raya, Riccardo Calafiori, and Mikel Merino this summer, much of Arsenal’s expenditure was balanced by player sales.

The club also parted ways with notable homegrown talents such as Emile Smith Rowe, Aaron Ramsdale, and Eddie Nketiah.

Ultimately, Edu and Mikel Arteta made some difficult decisions to streamline the squad, positioning themselves more effectively to challenge Manchester City.

While Arsenal successfully acquired Raheem Sterling on deadline day, one area that has drawn some criticism from observers is the lack of a new striker.

Kai Havertz is currently in excellent form, reducing the immediate need for a new starter; however, Gabriel Jesus has not consistently proven to be the ideal partner for Havertz, primarily due to injury issues.

Arsenal had initially aimed to sign Benjamin Sesko early in the summer, but the striker opted to remain with his current club, similar to another high-profile forward who was linked with Arsenal.

Newcastle’s Alexander Isak remains a top target for Arsenal.

Although the club expressed interest in Isak this summer, they quickly shifted their focus away from pursuing the Newcastle United striker.

Reports suggest that Isak’s price tag could reach £120 million, a sum that was beyond Arsenal’s reach this summer.

However, according to reliable sources from Team News and Ticks, who closely follow Arsenal’s activities, Arteta continues to regard Isak as a long-term target.

In a recent podcast shared on their Patreon, it was noted that Isak ranks ‘very, very high’ on Arsenal’s priority list for next summer.

Sources have indicated that Alexander Isak is expected to be a top priority for Arsenal. It is anticipated that the club will consider him again next summer.

Should Newcastle fail to secure a spot in European competition, it is likely that Isak will seek a transfer.

With Arsenal’s ongoing interest in Isak, it is noteworthy that the number 14 shirt remains unassigned at the club. This number was previously worn by Nketiah before his transfer to Crystal Palace, suggesting that Arsenal may reserve it for another exceptional talent in the future.

Isak certainly fits that description, having showcased impressive performances reminiscent of Thierry Henry towards the conclusion of last season with Newcastle.

While Isak’s past fitness issues may raise concerns for Arsenal regarding a significant investment, there is no question about his exceptional skill set.

Moreover, with Kai Havertz’s continued strong performances for Germany, the two players could potentially lead Arsenal to reclaim the Premier League title.
