A report indicates that the £66.6 million player is now set to travel to Liverpool.
According to reports, the player valued at £66.6 million is preparing for a trip to Liverpool.
Liverpool is set to face Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League next week. The Reds have not secured a victory against Los Blancos in this competition since 2009.
Currently, the Spanish and European champions are experiencing difficulties, while the Merseysiders are at the top of both the Champions League table and the Premier League.
In 2023, the La Liga giants triumphed over Klopp’s side with a score of 5-2 at Anfield.
However, Ancelotti’s team is currently hindered by several injuries, giving Arne Slot’s squad a potential advantage to claim all three points.
On a positive note for Madrid, Aurelien Tchouameni is on the path to recovery from his injury and is preparing to travel to Liverpool for the Champions League match.
According to the latest report from AS, the French international’s ankle is showing improvement, and he is working to be ‘ready’ to take on the Merseysiders at their home ground.
The respected media outlet noted that the midfielder was initially expected to be sidelined for 30 days, but his return after just 22 days to face Liverpool is a possibility.
Ahead of the league match against Leganes, Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that the Les Bleus star might be included in the squad. The Italian manager stated:
“We have resources. The youngsters are very good, like Asensio, and we have Tchouameni as an emergency option.”
It will be interesting to see how the £66.6 million-rated player performs upon his return from injury, particularly in a position he is not accustomed to, and against the most in-form team in Europe.
