Mikel Arteta gives a quick injury update on Martin Odegaard following the Arsenal vs. West Ham match.

Martin Odegaard experienced another injury setback during Arsenal’s win over West Ham United.

He had to leave the field in the first half at the Emirates after apparently injuring his left knee.

Although he tried to continue after receiving treatment, the Arsenal captain had to be substituted, creating a potential selection dilemma for Mikel Arteta.

Odegaard was replaced by Martin Zubimendi in midfield, making him the first player in Premier League history to be substituted before half-time in three consecutive top-flight matches.

Mikel Arteta provides an update on Martin Odegaard.

In his post-match comments, Arteta shared an update regarding Odegaard’s condition.

He stated: “So unlucky again. He went knee to knee and immediately felt that something was off. We will assess him and find out how serious the injury is. He has been extremely unlucky.”

Arteta also mentioned that Odegaard was wearing a brace on his knee and may undergo a scan in the upcoming days to ascertain the precise nature of the injury.

Arsenal’s next match is against Fulham on October 18 after the international break, and it remains uncertain whether their captain will be fit to play.
