Amidst the ongoing Liverpool transfer news, it has been reported that Juventus’ Federico Chiesa has emerged as a potential target for the Reds this summer.

Despite this, Liverpool is still actively pursuing a Dutch international and shows no signs of giving up on their pursuit.

The upcoming transfer dealings will be overseen by Richard Hughes, the newly appointed sporting director, who will be responsible for identifying and drafting potential targets.

Hughes, who has a commendable track record for successful signings during his time at Bournemouth, will officially join Liverpool in the summer.

There have been discussions regarding the possibility of Hughes attempting to recruit players from the current Bournemouth squad for Liverpool. And manager Andoni Iraola acknowledges that this is a possibility that cannot be dismissed.

“I am unsure of their plans,” Iraola stated to the Bournemouth Daily Echo. “I believe that if Liverpool meets the club’s criteria and the offer is beneficial for all parties involved, then this is just part of football.

“I cannot predict what will unfold in the transfer market. It is premature to delve into this topic. The summer transfer window is still a long way off. We have many objectives to focus on. However, once the transfer market opens, there is always a chance for such scenarios to materialize.”

Hughes must align his transfer strategy with that of Liverpool’s future manager in terms of potential signings and departures. The pursuit of Jürgen Klopp’s replacement is expected to intensify following the appointment of a new sporting director.

Liverpool.com has provided an update on the transfer rumors surrounding Liverpool FC today. One of the key updates involves a potential move for Dutch international Federico Chiesa. The 26-year-old currently plays for Juventus and has one year remaining on his contract. However, Juventus is looking for a decision on his future this summer.

If Chiesa decides not to sign a new deal, Juventus is likely to sell him to avoid losing him for free in 2025. According to Italian journalist Fabio Santini, Liverpool is one of the possible destinations for Chiesa. It has been reported that Liverpool has made an offer for the player, and he could be available for around $49m (£39m/€45m) this summer.

In addition to Chiesa, there is also reported interest from Liverpool in another Serie A star. While the specific player is not mentioned, it shows that Liverpool is actively exploring options in the Italian league.

It’s worth noting that Manchester United and Newcastle have also shown interest in Chiesa in the past, with Manchester United still reportedly keen on the player.

Liverpool.com suggests that while many acknowledge Chiesa’s skills, there are doubts about whether he is the right fit for Liverpool. The team already has a strong attacking lineup, and unless there are departures this summer, other areas may take precedence. However, the new Liverpool manager may have a different perspective on the matter.

Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta is still a subject of speculation for a potential move to Liverpool this summer. The Reds have shown interest in the Dutch midfielder for some time now due to his impressive performances. The upcoming Europa League quarter-final match between the two teams will provide Liverpool with a chance to assess Koopmeiners closely.

Despite reports suggesting his preference for Juventus, Liverpool is reportedly still in the running for his signature. Atalanta values the 26-year-old at around $65m (£52m/€60m), and Koopmeiners himself has expressed interest in playing in the Premier League.

Liverpool.com reports that Koopmeiners has been in exceptional form for Atalanta this campaign, finding the back of the net 10 times already in Serie A.

Undoubtedly, he is eager for a transfer and will strive to make a lasting impression in the upcoming Europa League matches. However, it is worth noting that Liverpool acquired four midfielders last summer, raising questions about whether they would be willing to invest heavily in another addition.
