Liverpool’s predicted starting XI against Arsenal features Gakpo, with Robertson replacing Kerkez; Ekitike’s availability is uncertain as Arne Slot implements two changes.

The anticipated Liverpool lineup facing Arsenal includes Robertson stepping in for Kerkez; Ekitike’s status remains questionable.

Andrew Robertson is set to take Milos Kerkez’s place in the Liverpool starting eleven as they prepare to face Arsenal at the Emirates on Thursday.

Liverpool is keen to get back to winning form when they clash with Arsenal at the Emirates on Thursday evening. Arne Slot has no new concerns to address ahead of this match.

Giovanni Leoni (knee), Wataru Endo (ankle), and Alexander Isak (leg) continue to be sidelined for the foreseeable future. However, it remains uncertain whether Hugo Ekitike will be fit to return after missing the Fulham match due to a hamstring issue.

The French player had not resumed training prior to Slot’s pre-match press conference, making it unlikely for him to be included in the starting lineup. Nonetheless, the Dutch coach provided an update on Ekitike’s fitness during the press briefing.

The Liverpool manager stated, “He has not trained with us until now, and let’s see if he can today. I mentioned a couple of days ago after our match against Fulham that he wouldn’t be out for long, but with matches coming up quickly, he might be in a position to train with the team or it could take him an extra day or two.”

In the meantime, during his press conference, Slot evaluated the depth and talent of his squad. The Liverpool manager remarked, “First and foremost, I’m very pleased with the squad we have. All the decisions made last summer and the previous summer align perfectly with me, Richard [Hughes], and the ownership.”

“This season has clearly demonstrated the talent within this group, and if everyone is fit, we can be a formidable team. While injuries bring no positives, one could argue that the ongoing narrative about our summer spending is worth considering. Despite my attempts to clarify that we have replaced players and spent only slightly more than we earned, it seems no one is willing to listen.”

Alisson Becker is a guaranteed starter in goal, as Liverpool prepares to adopt a 4-2-3-1 formation against Arsenal on Thursday. The defense will consist of Conor Bradley, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, and Andrew Robertson, with Robertson stepping in for Milos Kerkez at left-back.

In the midfield, Curtis Jones will partner with Ryan Gravenberch in a double pivot. Alexis Mac Allister will take on the no. 10 position, while Dominik Szoboszlai and Florian Wirtz will serve as the two wide forwards. Cody Gakpo is set to spearhead the attack for the away match against Arsenal, with Ekitike potentially available from the bench if he regains his fitness.

Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Bradley, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Jones; Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Wirtz; Gakpo
