Liverpool injury latest and possible return dates including Alisson Becker and Ibrahima Konate with several of Arne Slot’s stars who are currently sidelined…
Latest updates on Liverpool injuries and potential return dates, featuring Alisson Becker and Ibrahima Konate.
Injury updates for Liverpool FC: Alisson, Wataru Endo, Ibrahima Konate, and four others.
Current injury status for Liverpool and anticipated return dates, as several of Arne Slot’s players are either injured or gradually regaining full fitness, including Alisson Becker and Ibrahima Konate.
Liverpool will not play again for another 11 days, returning to face a significant match against Manchester United at Anfield. After a challenging series of games, this will be an opportunity to recover.
However, several players are either injured or still working on their fitness. Slot confirmed that Alisson Becker will miss the match against Manchester United, and he may be sidelined for an extended period due to the hamstring injury he sustained in Europe last week.
Ibrahima Konate exited the game against Chelsea with a quad issue but has traveled with the French national team for international duty. He did not participate in training yesterday, but his travel indicates that the injury may not be severe.
Giovanni Leoni, another center-back, has successfully undergone surgery for an ACL injury. He performed admirably against Southampton and appeared very competent in that match, but he will now be out for the majority of the season.
Meanwhile, the Japanese FA has officially stated that Wataru Endo will not join his national team this week. Further details are pending, but he played briefly at Stamford Bridge and seems to have sustained an issue.
Federico Chiesa was excluded from the Italy squad due to not being fully fit, according to Gennaro Gattuso. As for Alexander Isak, he is still working on his match fitness and is expected to receive a significant amount of playing time for Sweden.
“You need six weeks in a pre-season,” Sweden’s coach Jon Dahl Tomasson told Fotbollskanalen. “Initially, you play 45 minutes, then 60 minutes, 75 minutes, and finally 90 minutes.
“After that, you require an additional three weeks to reach your peak performance. That’s standard.
We cannot alter the circumstances. I am simply pleased that Liverpool is taking the same approach I would have chosen. This is evident with Newcastle and Yoane Wissa, who replaced Isak.
“He immediately participated in international matches with Congo and is currently injured. He remains injured. This is also a factor in why we couldn’t utilize him (Isak) extensively last month.
“We require a fully fit Isak this month and the next. That is our strategy, while Liverpool has performed exceptionally well.
International breaks are typically troublesome, but the Reds will not mind this one. After a challenging few days, Slot’s team has the opportunity to regroup and then return to form in a few weeks.
For certain players, such as Isak and Alexis Mac Allister, representing their countries may help them regain their competitive edge.
Conversely, for others like Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool will hope that their national teams manage their physical condition effectively.
