A journalist has reported that Liverpool “might make a move in January” to secure a significant signing.

Liverpool remains in discussions regarding a potential transfer for Antoine Semenyo, with a possible approach in January.

The 25-year-old Bournemouth forward has been outstanding in the Premier League this season, and Liverpool is keen on acquiring him.

They require enhanced quality and depth on the wings, and Semenyo would be a valuable addition.

Currently, he ranks among the top attackers in the league and could significantly bolster Liverpool’s performance.

Since Luis Diaz’s exit, Liverpool has faced challenges in advancing the ball and overcoming defenders in one-on-one scenarios.

They have yet to find a replacement for the Colombian and are considering the African player as a viable option.

While Cody Gakpo has performed adequately, the Netherlands international is not primarily a dribbler, and his inclination to cut inside frequently has rendered Liverpool’s attack somewhat predictable.

If he joins the club, Semenyo could introduce a fresh element to Liverpool’s offensive strategy.

Liverpool is contemplating a January acquisition of Antoine Semenyo.

Mark Douglas mentioned on TAW: “The key story for me this week is that they might make a move in January [for Semenyo].

Liverpool has a history of acting during this period if they believe it will give them an advantage. With Salah heading to the African Nations, and Ghana not qualifying, Semenyo will not be participating.”

It remains uncertain whether Liverpool can persuade the Cherries to part with the player in January.

The club will be reluctant to lose their top player mid-season, as finding a suitable replacement would be challenging.

Liverpool may need to present an irresistible offer to finalize the deal. There is no doubt that the 25-year-old possesses the talent to compete at the highest level, and a transfer to Liverpool could be highly appealing for him.
