Exclusive: Arsenal sources disclose the club’s true feelings about Viktor Gyokeres thus far.

Arsenal is pleased with Viktor Gyokeres’ initial performance at the club, as TBR Football reports, while he continues to acclimate to life in North London.

The Swedish international was among eight significant signings made during the summer transfer window by the Gunners, who aimed to fill the gaps in their squad to enhance their chances of winning trophies.

The striker position has been a notable concern for Arsenal in recent years, with many questioning the absence of a signing in that area previously.

With Viktor Gyokeres joining Arsenal, those concerns have been addressed, but it has also raised questions about his ability to meet the team’s needs.

Although he has netted a few goals in the Premier League, a recent goal drought has reignited some doubts.

Nevertheless, these doubts have not originated from within Arsenal.

Arsenal satisfied with Viktor Gyokeres’ performance at the club

With seven Premier League matches, two Champions League games, and one Carabao Cup match completed, much is being learned about this revamped Arsenal.

In some respects, it resembles the previous Arsenal, but with several new players integrating into the squad.

Among them is Viktor Gyokeres, who possesses a slightly different playing style compared to the other strikers in the team.

The 27-year-old tends to be less engaged in the build-up play, often remaining upfront and capitalizing on opportunities when they arise.

Both Arsenal and Gyokeres will need to make some adjustments, but despite this minor shift, the club remains content with the transfer.

TBR Football’s chief reporter, Graeme Bailey, commented on the situation: “Gyokeres – the club is fully supportive of him; they appreciate what he contributes to the team.

“His attitude, dedication, work ethic, and overall professionalism align perfectly with their expectations. There are absolutely no regrets regarding his transfer, and it hasn’t even been a topic of internal discussion.

For Gyokeres, external judgment will primarily focus on his scoring, but the crucial aspect will be his performance in aiding the team to secure victories.

If scoring occurs, that’s an added benefit, yet the main objective is to achieve as many wins as possible through an effective system.

Mikel Arteta has already expressed his genuine sentiments regarding Viktor Gyokeres at Arsenal.

While Gyokeres is recognized as a goal-scorer, his overall contributions to the team’s play should not be overlooked.

This was a point Mikel Arteta emphasized when discussing Arsenal’s victory over West Ham.

He mentioned to the media: “I just went there and hugged him and said ‘thank you’ because the work that he does is unbelievable for the team. The way he stretches the back four and the spaces he opens…

“I mean, today, how he hasn’t scored a goal, I don’t know!”

This situation wasn’t aided by the fact that Bukayo Saka took the penalty awarded instead of Gyokeres, despite Gyokeres’ strong penalty record.

Nevertheless, the focus remains on the team and ensuring that everyone collaborates to secure three points.
