Arsenal Initiates Contact to Sign “King of Kings” Striker Outperforming Sesko

Arsenal has taken the initial step towards securing a potential summer transfer for a striker valued at £44 million, who is garnering significant interest from various Premier League clubs, as reported.

Gunners Intensify Striker Search

Recent developments indicate that Mikel Arteta is ramping up his efforts to acquire a top-tier striker. Reports suggest that the manager holds a strong admiration for Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, with a remarkable £101 million bid likely to be presented for the Swedish forward.

Isak is not the only prominent name under consideration; RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen are also on the radar. Additionally, Arsenal appears to have surpassed Liverpool in the pursuit of Inter’s Marcus Thuram.

Fans are eager for a marquee signing to rejuvenate the attacking lineup, but there are also some unconventional options being explored, including Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike.

Furthermore, a former Premier League striker has emerged as a target, with reports from Italy indicating that Arsenal has made initial contact regarding a potential summer deal for Fiorentina’s Moise Kean.

This pursuit is still in its infancy, and Arsenal may encounter competition from several other Premier League teams, including Newcastle United and West Ham United, who have also begun preliminary discussions, while Tottenham Hotspur has been previously linked to the player.

Kean has a €52 million (£44 million) release clause in his contract with the Serie A club, but it remains uncertain whether any of the interested parties are prepared to meet that asking price for the former Everton player.

“King of Kings” Kean Outshining Sesko This Season

Since joining Fiorentina last summer, the Italian forward has made significant strides, netting 20 goals across all competitions this season—three more than fellow target Sesko—and he even received a Goal of the Month award for one of his standout performances in February.

Recognized as a “king of kings” by analyst Mina Rzouki, the 25-year-old has shown significant improvement in his game since returning to his home country. However, his past performance in the Premier League remains a major concern.

While playing for the Toffees, the Italy international managed to net only two goals in 32 Premier League appearances, and he has faced challenges in Serie A as well, notably failing to score for Juventus last season.

Therefore, Arsenal would be wise to prioritize signing a striker with a proven track record at the highest level. Isak’s impressive performances for Newcastle in the Premier League this season could position the 25-year-old as an ideal target.
