Adrian Newey, the renowned technical guru at Red Bull, shares the same net worth as team principal Christian Horner.

With nearly two decades of dedication and expertise in designing F1 cars, Newey is considered one of the greatest technical masterminds in the sport’s history. He has been instrumental in shaping Red Bull’s success since he joined the team in 2005.

The 65-year-old individual has been instrumental in molding Red Bull’s current supremacy following his successful adaptation to the extensive regulation modifications implemented in 2022.

In addition to his Formula 1 responsibilities, he has been involved in various thrilling projects, including contributing to the design of Aston Martin’s Valkyrie road vehicle.

Newey’s impact on Red Bull’s recent success cannot be understated, as he successfully adapted to the regulatory changes introduced in 2022. In addition to his F1 responsibilities, he has also contributed to Aston Martin’s Valkyrie road car project.

His estimated net worth of £39.6 million puts him in the same financial league as Red Bull team principal Horner, who is valued at just under £40 million according to CelebrityNetWorth.

Although the specifics of Newey’s contract remain undisclosed, it is evident that his contributions as the most accomplished designer in F1 history have been handsomely rewarded, with reports suggesting that Red Bull offered him a salary of around £7.9 million per season when they recruited him from McLaren almost two decades ago.

Red Bull’s cost-cutting measures may result in Newey being reassigned to the RB17 hypercar project, as reported by Auto Motor und Sport. This move would allow the team to remove his salary from their budget and comply with the regulations that require full accounting of team members’ salaries if they are involved in the sport.

If Newey transitions to working solely on the hypercar project, he would no longer be able to contribute to the F1 setup. Additionally, there are speculations that Newey might distance himself from Red Bull altogether if Horner faces consequences due to allegations of ‘inappropriate behavior’.

An investigation is currently underway following a complaint made by a female employee to the team’s parent company in Austria.

Peter Windsor, former Williams team manager, expressed his thoughts on the potential consequences of Red Bull team principal Christian Horner being dismissed.

In a YouTube video, Windsor speculated on the impact such a scenario would have on the team’s management structure. He raised questions about the future of the team and pondered whether renowned engineer Adrian Newey would consider retirement in such circumstances. Windsor highlighted the significance of Horner’s role as a buffer and an amiable figure within the team.

“So, I start to worry about the team’s future. I can’t help but wonder what Adrian Newey would do. He is most likely of an age where he would consider retirement. I believe he would view it as the last end of the time he had Christian as his confidant and the genuinely easy guy to get along with.

“They have similar thoughts and ideas. While Christian’s departure would undoubtedly be detrimental to him, Adrian’s future may be more negatively impacted.
