Champions League draw: Arsenal’s eight opponents confirmed.
Arsenal has learned their eight opponents for the league phase of the 2024/25 Champions League.
The new competition format will feature a league phase with 36 clubs. Arsenal will compete against eight of these teams.
The Gunners will encounter two teams from each of Pot 1, Pot 2, Pot 3, and Pot 4.
UEFA has now disclosed that Arsenal will face Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, and Olympiacos.
They will host Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, and Olympiacos at the Emirates Stadium.
The precise schedule for the matches will be announced by UEFA on Saturday afternoon.
This new format will extend the league schedule into January, which did not occur in the previous group stage.

Matchday 1: September 17–19, 2024
Matchday 2: October 1/2, 2024
Matchday 3: October 22/23, 2024
Matchday 4: November 5/6, 2024
Matchday 5: November 26/27, 2024
Matchday 6: December 10/11, 2024
Matchday 7: January 21/22, 2025
Matchday 8: January 29, 2025
Arsenal has received a favorable draw on paper. Aside from Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, they should find it manageable to overcome the other teams.
However, they must not be complacent and need to ensure they perform well. The Gunners must finish in the top eight to qualify directly for the last 16.
If not, they will face a double-legged play-off in February. Mikel Arteta’s team will be eager to avoid such a scenario.
