“A bid will be made” – Liverpool set to initiate thrilling transfer move, according to a journalist.

Reports suggest that Liverpool is preparing to make a bid for Bournemouth’s standout attacking player, Antoine Semenyo.

The Reds had an active summer, acquiring prominent players such as Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, and Hugo Ekitike, and it appears they are not finished yet.

Journalist Indy Kaila indicates that Liverpool is expected to continue pursuing high-profile targets in the upcoming transfer windows.

Semenyo is among those targets, as highlighted in Kaila’s post on X below, and it’s certainly not unexpected to see the talented Ghanaian international drawing interest from larger clubs like Liverpool following his impressive recent performances in the Premier League…

It remains uncertain whether the bid for Semenyo will be made in January or next summer, but it appears that the 25-year-old is a crucial element of Liverpool’s strategy for the next two transfer windows.

The transfer of Antoine Semenyo seems significantly important for Liverpool, especially following Mohamed Salah’s recent decline in form.

Just a few months ago, it might have been challenging to envision Semenyo fitting into Liverpool’s setup due to the intense competition for positions in Arne Slot’s attacking trio.

However, LFC has had a disappointing start to the season, and Mohamed Salah’s notable drop in form is particularly worrying.

The Egyptian international was nearly unstoppable for much of last season, but he is currently struggling with his confidence, having scored only three goals and provided two assists in the league thus far, compared to six goals and three assists for Semenyo…

Player Games Goals Assists

Mohamed Salah 9 3 2

Antoine Semenyo 9 6 3

Semenyo now appears to be a potential upgrade over Salah, rather than merely a long-term successor for the aging forward.

One can easily envision Semenyo stepping in and immediately making a significant impact, revitalizing Liverpool’s attacking prowess.

A change is undoubtedly necessary as soon as possible, following a dismal streak of six losses in the club’s last seven matches across all competitions.
