Arteta implements 4 significant changes | Projected Arsenal XI against Everton with £15m player likely to start.

Arsenal is set to resume Premier League play against Everton at the Emirates Stadium this evening.

The Gunners currently lead the table with a seven-point advantage over Manchester City, although the Cityzens have a game in hand.

A win could temporarily increase their lead to 10 points, as Pep Guardiola’s team is scheduled to face West Ham later today.

Before the match, manager Mikel Arteta has indicated that Leandro Trossard and Martin Odegaard may undergo late fitness assessments.

We expect at least four alterations to the starting lineup.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Projected Line-up:

David Raya has been a constant presence in the Premier League this season, achieving 14 clean sheets. The Spaniard will be aiming for another shutout against the Toffees this evening.

The defense may see one adjustment from the 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 at the BayArena. Piero Hincapie might be substituted for Riccardo Calafiori.

The former Bologna player has not started a league match since early February, when the Gunners triumphed over Sunderland 3-0. Hincapie has carried the heaviest load in Arsenal’s defense recently and could be rested.

The remainder of the backline is expected to remain the same. Jurrien Timber is likely to continue at right-back. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes should be confirmed starters for the London club in the center of defense today.

Martin Zubimendi was not at his best midweek. He lost possession 11 times and may require rest before a crucial home match against Leverkusen next week. This could be the perfect opportunity for Christian Norgaard to enter the starting XI.

The Dane has played less than 60 minutes of regular time in the league since joining from Brentford last summer. The £15 million acquisition could make his full league debut for the Gunners against David Moyes’ team, in our view.

Norgaard may take on the role of holding midfielder alongside Declan Rice in central midfield. Eberechi Eze had a minimal impact during the midweek match, prompting Arteta to consider a possible change. Kai Havertz could be positioned in the attacking midfield role, having scored the equaliser from the penalty spot against Leverkusen earlier this week.

A fourth adjustment might occur on the right wing, where Bukayo Saka could be given a rest. The English player was effectively man-marked out of the game in the previous match. Noni Madueke performed significantly better after coming off the bench, earning a late penalty in the 1-1 draw against Leverkusen.

The former Chelsea player achieved a remarkable 95 percent pass completion rate and won all of his duels and dribbles. The 24-year-old may be rewarded for his impressive cameo with a starting position against the Toffees for the second time this season.

The remainder of the attacking lineup is expected to remain unchanged. Gabriel Martinelli is anticipated to continue on the left wing, especially since Trossard is still uncertain. In our opinion, Viktor Gyokeres stands as Arsenal’s top striking option if Kai Havertz plays in the number 10 role.

The Swedish forward has contributed to 10 goals since the beginning of the year and will be looking to break a three-match goal drought. He scored the only goal from the penalty spot when the Gunners faced the Toffees at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in December.
