Arsenal’s £150,000-per-week star is anticipated to depart this summer, joining teammates Thomas Partey and Jorginho in leaving the club.

In addition to the 28-year-old, Kieran Tierney is also expected to exit soon, as Mikel Arteta aims to revamp the midfield. With the team likely to miss out on the Premier League title for a third consecutive year, frustrations among supporters are at an all-time high.

Nevertheless, club officials are expected to make significant investments in the transfer market to prevent a repeat of this season’s disappointments.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is among several players likely to leave Arsenal this summer as part of the club’s strategy to create a “transfer war chest,” according to Daily Mail journalist Sami Mokbel.

Currently earning £150,000 per week, Zinchenko has seen his role diminish under Arteta this season, with only two league starts and a total of 15 appearances across all competitions.

He is expected to be one of the players leaving the club to help finance new acquisitions.

Zinchenko’s Departure Amid Arsenal Squad Restructuring

Having joined Arsenal in July 2022 for approximately £32 million from Manchester City, Zinchenko quickly established himself as the first-choice left-back. However, persistent injuries have hindered his ability to maintain that position.

Mokbel reports that he is now “expected to leave this summer,” as Arsenal plans to “offload several players” to support their transfer activities.

Arsenal secured Riccardo Calafiori last summer, who, while not as technically skilled as Zinchenko, compensates with his strong defensive capabilities.

Additionally, academy talent Myles Lewis-Skelly has surpassed Zinchenko in the team’s hierarchy.

Zinchenko has played just under 300 league minutes this season, and reports from Florian Plettenberg indicate that he is eager to leave during the winter transfer window.

At that time, Atletico Madrid was interested in acquiring him, with Borussia Dortmund and Galatasaray also considering a move.

Arsenal is thought to value the player at €20 million (£17 million) plus additional fees.

In addition to the 28-year-old, Kieran Tierney is expected to leave soon, and midfielders Thomas Partey and Jorginho are also likely to exit as part of Arteta’s plans to revamp the midfield this summer.
