Arsenal’s Starting XI Against Brentford: Team Updates, Predicted Lineup, and Injury News for the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta is likely to implement squad rotation as he prepares for the upcoming clash with Real Madrid.
This Saturday, Arsenal will face Brentford, a match that falls between their two Champions League quarter-final legs against Real Madrid.
The Gunners secured a 3-0 victory in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday and will head to Madrid for the return match on Wednesday.
Consequently, Arteta is anticipated to adjust his lineup for the Premier League encounter with Brentford.
With Liverpool leading the title race by 11 points and only seven matches remaining, Arsenal’s chances of clinching the title are slim.
Prior to the first leg against Real Madrid, Arteta made five changes to his squad for the match against Everton, and a similar number of adjustments is expected this weekend, with several players in contention to feature.
Ben White, who recently made his first start since November, may take over from Jurrien Timber at right-back, while Kieran Tierney could be an option on the left side.
In midfield, Jorginho and Oleksandr Zinchenko are potential inclusions, which would allow Declan Rice to rest after he was substituted late in the match against Real Madrid due to a foot issue.
In the attacking lineup, Arteta has the flexibility to rotate his forwards entirely. Ethan Nwaneri, Leandro Trossard, and Raheem Sterling, who all started against Everton, could replace Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Mikel Merino.
Both Saka and Rice are fit to play against Brentford despite their early exits in the previous match, while Riccardo Calafiori remains unavailable.
Arteta confirmed, “Both Dec and Bukayo are fit. They just had a couple of knocks but recovered well, so they are ready for tomorrow.”
Ricky is making significant progress. Providing a specific timeline is challenging, as he needs to elevate his performance, particularly in response to having more teammates around him. However, I believe he is currently in a positive situation.
Predicted Arsenal XI (4-3-3): Raya; White, Saliba, Kiwior, Tierney; Odegaard, Jorginho, Zinchenko; Nwaneri, Trossard, Sterling
Injured: Calafiori (knee), Gabriel (hamstring), Havertz (hamstring), Jesus (knee), Tomiyasu (knee)
Arsenal squad includes: Neto, Raya, Setford; Kacurri, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly, Saliba, Tierney, Timber, Zinchenko; Jorginho, Merino, Nwaneri, Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Martinelli, Sterling, and Trossard.
