Arsenal ‘working on’ triple transfer in ‘blockbuster £200m spree’ as Berta settles in – Report…

Arsenal is reportedly planning a significant transfer strategy, with new sporting director Andrea Berta aiming to invest approximately £200 million in what is being described as the club’s “dream scenario.”
The Gunners recently played to a 1-1 draw against Everton, gaining a point in the Premier League title race as Liverpool suffered a 3-2 defeat to Fulham.
Currently, Arsenal trails Liverpool by 11 points with just seven matches left, making it unlikely for them to catch up unless there is a major downturn in Liverpool’s performance.
Following Berta’s appointment earlier this month, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta indicated that fans should anticipate a “big summer” in terms of transfers.
In a pre-match press conference, Arteta stated, “This summer is going to be significant, and we are very enthusiastic about it.
Our planning for the first five summers was aimed at achieving substantial changes, each with distinct goals due to the player turnover.”
He continued, “As we move forward, our aim is to enhance both the depth and quality of the squad to take the next step.”
Arteta praised Berta’s contribution, saying, “Andrea is a valuable addition to the club and the team, which already consists of many talented individuals.
Each summer presents a crucial opportunity, especially given the current number of players in our squad.”
He emphasized the importance of this summer, noting, “We need to preserve the solid foundations we have while also focusing on how we can improve and evolve the team.”
Arsenal is reportedly “working on a dream scenario” this summer, targeting the acquisitions of Viktor Gyokeres and Nico Williams as part of their ambitious £200 million spending spree.
The Gunners are feeling optimistic about securing their primary midfield target, Martin Zubimendi, from Real Sociedad.
Meanwhile, Berta is evaluating the finances to determine if they can also afford a top-tier centre-forward and a transformative winger.
The new sporting director at Arsenal understands that generating substantial income through player sales is essential to fund this dual acquisition.
Nevertheless, the club’s leadership is committed to doing everything possible to provide manager Mikel Arteta with the star players necessary to compete for the Premier League title.
Acquiring a new striker is considered a higher priority for Arsenal than signing a winger.
They would forgo the opportunity to sign winger Williams if it meant they could invest fully in proven Premier League scorer Alexander Isak, who Newcastle values at over £100 million.
However, pursuing a deal for Sporting CP’s Gyokeres or exploring more affordable alternatives like RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko or Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike could create financial flexibility for acquiring Williams.
