Another former Prem star returns to Arsenal

There’s another familiar name in the Villarreal lineup.

Arnaut Danjuma is seated on the bench for the Yellow Submarine tonight.

He transferred to the club from Bournemouth in 2021 and has since been loaned to Tottenham and Everton.

Nicolas Pepe is starting for Villarreal this evening, but it’s hard to believe he has fond memories of the Emirates.

The French winger joined the Gunners from Lille amid much excitement in 2019, becoming their record signing at £72m.

However, he struggled to find his rhythm, netting only eight goals in his debut season. His performance did not significantly improve over the next two seasons, leading to a loan to Nice before he made a permanent switch to Trabzonspor.
