Arsenal have made a €50m plus Gabriel Jesus ‘concrete offer’ for a €90m ‘phenomenon’ who is expected to become a Ballon d’Or winner, according to reports.

Andrea Berta, the sporting director of Arsenal, is looking to achieve two objectives simultaneously by targeting Juventus for Kenan Yildiz while also offloading Gabriel Jesus, as per an Italian media report. However, the Gunners’ strategy may face challenges.

Yildiz is recognized as one of Europe’s top young talents and has caught the attention of Arsenal, among other clubs. Even with players like Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze available for the number 10 position, the north London team is reportedly interested in the Juventus star as well.

Bianconera News indicated on September 20 that Arsenal is eager to acquire Yildiz, who has been playing as a second striker for Juventus this season.

A subsequent Spanish report suggested that Arsenal has initiated ‘preliminary talks’ with the agents of Yildiz.

According to Radio Radio in Italy, Arsenal is taking further steps and is preparing to make a significant bid for Yildiz.

The ‘concrete offer’ from Arsenal for Yildiz, who is valued between €80-90 million (approximately £78m, $104.5m) by Juventus, includes cash and Gabriel Jesus.

The Gunners have put a €50m (£43.4m, $58m) offer on the table for the 20-year-old, along with the willingness to send Jesus to the Italian club as part of the deal.

Sources have informed TEAMtalk that Arsenal values Jesus at £30m (€34.4m, $40.4m), and Radio Radio has added that the Premier League leaders believe that a combination of the Brazilian international striker and cash should persuade Juventus to part with their prized player.

Jesus, who has been sidelined since suffering an ACL injury in January, may find it difficult to secure a spot in Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup due to competition from Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz.

Acquired from Manchester City in 2022 to help Arsenal clinch the Premier League title, Jesus has netted only 26 goals and provided 20 assists in 96 appearances across all competitions for the Gunners.

Juventus is in need of a striker to take over for Dusan Vlahovic, whose contract expires at the end of the season, making Jesus a potential candidate for the role.
