Arsenal is making significant progress in their pursuit of a £58-G/A star, having agreed in principle with the player’s current club.

The Gunners are nearing the completion of a deal to secure the services of a £58-G/A star, after reaching a principle agreement with the player’s current club.

Arsenal is on the verge of finalizing a deal to acquire £58-G/A star Viktor Gyokeres after reaching a preliminary agreement with the club.

Reports from Portuguese outlet Leonino suggest that the Gunners are making significant progress in securing the Sporting CP player this summer.

Following a close call in the race for the league title last season, Arsenal is determined to bolster their squad in order to compete more effectively with Manchester City.

The club is focusing on strengthening key positions, with midfield being a top priority. Additionally, acquiring a new goal-scoring talent is also high on their agenda.

Numerous forwards have been associated with a transfer to the Emirates Stadium in recent weeks, including Victor Osimhen, Alexander Isak, and Joshua Zirkzee. However, Gyokeres is now being identified as the top choice.

Per Leonino’s report, Arsenal has reportedly reached a preliminary agreement with Sporting to finalize the deal after initiating discussions with them.

Arsenal set to sign Gyokeres.

The report indicates that Arsenal will not be meeting the striker’s £86m release clause, but instead have agreed to a £77m fixed fee with potential bonuses that could reach up to £101m. The figures involved are quite substantial.

Leonino also mentions that Arsenal are on the verge of finalizing the deal, with everything expected to be completed by the end of this month.

Gyokeres had an outstanding season last year, scoring 43 goals and providing 15 assists in 50 matches across all competitions.

It appears that Arsenal have been impressed by his performances and have decided to make a move to secure his signature.

The 25-year-old possesses impressive attributes such as speed, strength, aerial prowess, playmaking skills, and a natural instinct for scoring goals.

Moreover, he excels in holding up the play, creating opportunities for his teammates, and displaying relentless work ethic off the ball.

Considering these qualities, acquiring him could prove to be a clever move for Arsenal.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen whether the Swedish international will join the North London club during this transfer window to bolster their attacking options.

It is worth noting that Gyokeres recently underwent knee surgery due to an injury. Therefore, Arsenal must exercise caution and thoroughly assess his condition before finalizing any potential deal.
