Arsenal injury update: Latest news on Gabriel, Ben White, and Kai Havertz, along with their return dates ahead of the match against Everton.

The Gunners have a full week to prepare for their first visit to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Arsenal’s injury situation shows little sign of improvement as they approach a busy schedule during the festive season.

Although the Gunners welcomed back Declan Rice, William Saliba, Jurrien Timber, and Leandro Trossard from illness and injury in their 2-1 victory over Wolves, they suffered a setback with Ben White leaving the match in the first half.

White’s injury has raised concerns for Mikel Arteta, especially after his team narrowly defeated the Premier League’s bottom team over the weekend.

The north London club needed two own goals, including a last-minute header from Yerson Mosquera into his own net, to avoid becoming only the third team to drop points against Wolves in the league this season.

While that result could be significant in the title race come May, Arsenal currently enjoys a rare free week in their schedule before facing a series of matches, starting with a trip to Everton on Saturday.

Here is the latest update on Arsenal’s injuries and expected return dates.

Ben White

White is the latest Arsenal player to suffer an injury, having limped off during the first half against Wolves after pulling his left hamstring while attempting to thwart a counterattack.

Arteta shared a concerning update on the defender, stating: “That is bad news, for sure. It looks like a hamstring injury, and we are uncertain about the severity, but we should have more information by tomorrow or the day after.

“He hasn’t had many minutes due to a previous knee issue.

“Just as he was starting to gain some momentum, he had to play extensively because we lacked other options.”

It is unfortunate for White, who had been enjoying a consistent run in the Arsenal lineup, as he now faces the possibility of missing a fifth consecutive start, and it remains uncertain if he will be available during the festive season.

Expected return date: Unknown

Gabriel

Arsenal has been without Gabriel since he sustained an adductor injury while representing Brazil during the last international break a month ago.

Initially, there were concerns that he might be sidelined until January, and Arteta lamented the loss of “the leader of our backline.”

Arteta provided his latest update on Gabriel at the beginning of the month, stating: “Big Gabi is doing very well, but that’s weeks as well.”

Expected return date: Late December/January

Cristhian Mosquera

Mosquera has been ruled out until the New Year due to what Arteta referred to as a “complicated” ankle injury.

While no specific timeline has been given for his return, reports suggest that Arsenal fears he could be out for six to eight weeks.

“He’s going to be out for weeks unfortunately; it’s much more than we anticipated,” Arteta remarked. “But the player was feeling it, so he’s going to be out for weeks.”

Max Dowman

Dowman is expected to be out for two months after suffering ankle ligament damage.

The 15-year-old incurred the injury during a closed-door Under-21 friendly against Manchester United at St George’s Park at the beginning of December.

Dowman is not anticipated to need surgery, but Arsenal has confirmed he has been removed from their Champions League squad and replaced by Gabriel Jesus.

Arteta commented: “With Max, unfortunately, he picked up an injury last weekend, and he had to come off, so we did some scans and he is going to be out for weeks.”

Expected return date: February

Kai Havertz

Havertz is still not prepared to return after experiencing a setback in his recovery from a knee injury sustained on the opening weekend of the season against Manchester United, which required surgery.

In his most recent update on Havertz at the start of the month, Arteta stated: “Matter of weeks. Let’s see how it evolves in the next few weeks.”

With Viktor Gyokeres struggling with form, Havertz’s return will enhance competition for positions in the Arsenal attack.

Expected return date: Late December/January
