Arne Slot’s aspiration for a meeting with Michael Edwards: Liverpool finalizes Guehi agreement with a £68m fee settled.

Liverpool is eager to secure additional signings ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.

The Reds have made an impressive start to the summer transfer window, with Arne Slot integrating four new players into his team.

They began by acquiring Jeremie Frimpong, followed by Florian Wirtz for a record transfer fee, and Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.

Additionally, they have signed young goalkeeper Armin Pecsi from Hungarian club Puskas Akademia.

It is highly likely that more players will join Liverpool before the new Premier League season kicks off.

Several high-profile names have been rumored to be on their way to Anfield, as the club seeks further reinforcements. Liverpool may also part ways with some current players to accommodate new arrivals.

Express Sport outlines what Slot hopes to discuss in his upcoming meeting with Liverpool’s sporting director, Michael Edwards…

Liverpool finalizes Guehi agreement.

Marc Guehi has been associated with a significant transfer away from Crystal Palace as Liverpool reportedly shows strong interest.

They are considering a move for the England international to bolster their defense.

Guehi would represent an improvement over Jarell Quansah, who is believed to be close to a permanent transfer to Bayer Leverkusen.

This transfer would net Liverpool a £34million fee, which could be reinvested to secure Guehi’s services.

Crystal Palace is asking for approximately £50m to release their star defender, as reported by the Daily Mail. Confirmation of an agreement with the Eagles would undoubtedly please Slot.

Gyokeres transfer fee settled.

Liverpool is also rumored to be pursuing Viktor Gyokeres, who is anticipated to join a top club this summer.

He is reportedly frustrated with Sporting for reneging on their gentleman’s agreement to let him leave for a lower price.

The forward was reportedly assured that he could secure a new club for approximately £59m, despite possessing a release clause valued at £84m.

However, it is now reported that Sporting is demanding £67m for his signature.

This would represent a great deal for Liverpool, who are looking for a new striker with Darwin Nunez expected to depart Anfield.

Gyokeres would serve as the perfect substitute, having netted 39 league goals from just 31 starts in the recently concluded season.

Significant profit on Elliott.

Harvey Elliott has expressed his desire to play regularly, whether at Liverpool or elsewhere. He is currently excelling for the England under-21s, having scored two goals in their semi-final triumph over the Netherlands in the Euros.

His impressive performance is believed to be drawing attention from multiple Premier League clubs, and the Reds are reportedly open to selling.

According to The Athletic, they have placed a £40m valuation on Elliott and will not entertain offers below that amount.

This would enable Liverpool to make a substantial profit on the nominal fee they initially paid to acquire him from Fulham in 2021.

Following a tribunal, they were required to pay £1.5m in compensation along with £2.8m in performance-related bonuses.

If a buyer is found, the Reds could either invest that money into their pursuit of Gyokeres or simply retain it as profit.
