Alisson Becker, Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Conor Bradley, and Ryan Gravenberch – Updates on Liverpool’s injury status and anticipated return timelines.

Alisson’s injury status has been updated as the Liverpool goalkeeper returns to the UK following a concerning head collision.

Recent news highlights Alisson’s return to Liverpool and provides an explanation regarding Ibrahima Konate’s situation.

Updates on Trent Alexander-Arnold, Conor Bradley, and Ryan Gravenberch regarding their injuries and expected return dates.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot is currently awaiting injury updates on several players as the team approaches the crucial phase of the Premier League title race.

The football schedule can be unpredictable. Liverpool played nine matches in December alone, yet they now face the same number of games over the next ten weeks.

The Reds have nearly two weeks before their next match, with an early exit from the FA Cup leading to their upcoming fixture being the Anfield derby against Everton on Wednesday, April 2.

Despite common perceptions, Arne Slot’s squad has been dealing with significant injuries.

Liverpool is still anticipating the return of several key players as they head into the final stretch of the Premier League season.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

The right-back has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury while attempting a tackle during the Champions League round of 16 home loss to Paris Saint-Germain on March 11.

Fortunately, the injury is not as severe as initially thought, but Alexander-Arnold is expected to be out for several weeks, with a return anticipated by the end of next month.

Expected return date: Late April

Conor Bradley

Bradley experienced a hamstring injury during a brief substitute appearance in the 2-2 draw against Aston Villa on February 19.

Initially, it was believed he would be out for a few weeks, but he has since missed the League Cup final and has been left out of the current Northern Ireland squad.

Coach Michael O’Neill has indicated that Bradley is not close to returning but may be available before the season concludes.

Expected return date: Late April/May

Joe Gomez

Gomez initially sustained a hamstring injury while playing against West Ham United in late December.

He then exacerbated the injury shortly after returning during the FA Cup match against Plymouth Argyle in February.

Following this setback, he underwent surgery to address the issue and is expected to be available only for the final weeks of the season.

Expected return date: May

Ryan Gravenberch

Gravenberch is one of several Liverpool players who have appeared fatigued in recent weeks due to the heavy schedule this season.

He withdrew from the Netherlands squad late Wednesday ahead of their UEFA Nations League matches against Spain due to an unspecified injury, which will be evaluated upon his return to Merseyside.

Expected return date: Unknown

Tyler Morton

The midfielder has had limited playing time this season, but he was anticipated to have a more prominent role after the New Year.

However, a shoulder injury sustained during the League Cup quarter-final against Southampton in December, which required surgery in February, has hindered his participation. It is unlikely he will be fit to play again this season.

Expected return date: Next season

Harvey Elliott

Elliott needed on-field treatment following the conclusion of the League Cup final loss to Newcastle United, after being fouled by Joelinton without a penalty being awarded.

Although he limped away from Wembley, he was able to train with the England under-21 team at the beginning of this week.

Expected return date: April 2

Ibrahima Konate

Konate was substituted at halftime during France’s Nations League match against Croatia on Thursday after sustaining a knock, as reported by his national team’s official X account.

The post stated: “Dayot Upamecano replaces Ibrahima Konate, who picked up a knock in the first half.” Liverpool has not reported any injury concerns in their latest international update.

Expected return date: April 2

Alisson Becker

During Brazil’s recent victory over Colombia, Alisson was substituted due to a suspected concussion.

Brazil’s national team physician, Rodrigo Lasmar, explained, “Becker experienced a head injury and was replaced because of concerns about a concussion.

We will adhere to the CBF protocol, which includes conducting the necessary imaging tests, starting with a computed tomography scan followed by a diffusion MRI.

If the results are normal, we will proceed with a cognitive assessment and then evaluate the player further. Should everything check out, we will monitor him closely in the coming days.

As of now, Alisson is stable and has no complaints, reporting no dizziness or memory issues, although he did feel slightly slower. Given this feedback, it is advisable to substitute the player.”

Expected return date: April 2
