Arsenal journalist has reported that a source near the player has communicated news from Trossard’s camp in response to the Saudi bid.

An insider connected to the player has shared updates from Trossard’s camp in light of the recent Saudi offer, as reported by an Arsenal journalist.

Leandro Trossard’s stance has been clarified after Arsenal received a late bid for the player, as Saudi Arabia aims to secure the Gunner before their transfer window closes.

Arsenal’s transfer window has concluded.

With the Premier League transfer window closing on August 30th, Arsenal and manager Mikel Arteta were busy until the last moment, submitting a “deal sheet” to finalize a loan for Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling.

The 29-year-old, who had been sidelined by Chelsea’s coach Enzo Maresca, will spend the season in north London.

However, there is no option or obligation for Arsenal to purchase the England international, and the terms of the deal are reportedly very favorable for the club.

Sterling’s addition follows the arrivals of Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino from Bologna and Real Sociedad, respectively, while David Raya was signed permanently after his impressive performance last season, where he won the golden glove at the Emirates Stadium.

Al-Ittihad submits an offer for Arsenal’s Trossard.

Fabrizio Romano has indicated that Saudi club Al-Ittihad has made an offer for Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard, who participated in the 1-1 draw against Brighton.

The reported bid is approximately 35 million euros (£29.5 million) and comes just before the closing of the Saudi transfer window on September 2nd.

Al-Ittihad is actively seeking a left-winger to enhance their star-studded lineup, which includes Karim Benzema and the recent signing of Moussa Diaby from Aston Villa.

Trossard, who netted the opening goal in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Aston Villa, is in the final two years of his £90,000-a-week contract at the Emirates Stadium.

However, he has not shown any desire to leave the club in the near term and has participated in all three matches this season.

The bid has been officially turned down, as CBS journalist James Benge reported that the Gunners “quickly dismissed interest,” emphasizing that the Belgian international is “not available for sale at any price.”

Moreover, it has been suggested that “a source close to the player has indicated he is not interested in leaving the Premier League for Saudi Arabia,” which could hinder any future transfer possibilities, especially with Trossard entering the final two years of his contract at the Emirates Stadium.

The 29-year-old player made his move to the Gunners from Brighton 18 months ago and has proven to be a valuable asset in north London.

Although he is frequently utilized as a substitute, he is regarded as an important member of the squad, having made 46 appearances across all competitions last season and scoring 17 goals.

Mikel Arteta even referred to him as a “little magician” towards the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.

After a victory against Wolves in April, Arteta remarked: “He is a little magician. He is a significant threat. So composed, so cool.”

Considering that Arsenal already viewed themselves as lacking in attacking options before the transfer window closed, and only managed to bring Sterling into the fold while allowing Reiss Nelson to depart, it was always improbable that the Gunners would accept the bid, especially since they cannot secure a replacement until their transfer window reopens on January 1st.
