Both clubs acknowledge that they still have room for growth and are focused on enhancing their squads.
According to journalist Christian Falk in his latest column for CaughtOffside, there is a clear preference for one English club over the other regarding a highly sought-after winger.
Leroy Sane favors Arsenal over Manchester United.
Falk noted that while there had been no substantial offers for Sane from notable clubs, the situation has changed with Arsenal’s interest, particularly given Sane’s familiarity with Mikel Arteta from their time together at Manchester City.
Falk remarked, “London is an attractive city, and Sane and his family have expressed that they never felt completely settled in Manchester.
Arsenal presents a viable option, especially since they are competing in the Champions League and are likely to continue doing so next season.
In contrast, Newcastle, who have also shown interest, are not currently in European competition.”
Despite Sane’s potential to enhance either squad, questions arise regarding his place in the Arsenal lineup.
With Gabi Martinelli and Bukayo Saka already providing significant threats on the wings, Sane may find it challenging to secure a starting position.
A potential transfer to Manchester United would similarly depend on Amorim’s strategic vision.
Thus, while Sane may show a preference for joining Arsenal, the final decision will hinge on various factors.
