Arne Slot has announced the expected return date for Alisson Becker following his injury, as six Liverpool players may be unavailable for the match against Newcastle United.

The return date for Alisson Becker’s injury has been confirmed by Arne Slot, with the possibility that six Liverpool players will be sidelined for the encounter with Newcastle United.

Arne Slot has revealed when Alisson Becker is expected to return from injury, while six Liverpool players face the risk of missing the fixture against Newcastle United.

Ahead of the Premier League encounter at St James’ Park, Liverpool is currently nine points ahead at the top of the table.

However, the team will be missing Ibrahima Konate (knee) and Conor Bradley (hamstring) for several weeks, and Kostas Tsimikas (ankle) has also been ruled out for the upcoming match against the Magpies.

Alisson Becker, who has been sidelined for the last ten games due to a hamstring injury, has recently participated in parts of team training.

Despite this, Slot has indicated that there is no need to rush Alisson back into action, especially since Caoimhin Kelleher has been performing exceptionally well in goal.

As a result, Alisson will miss his 11th consecutive match across all competitions, but he is anticipated to return to the lineup before the end of December.

The Liverpool manager stated, “I believe I made it clear a few weeks ago regarding our goalkeepers.

We are simply waiting for Alisson to be fully fit because Caoimhin is doing too well to risk putting Alisson in goal if he’s only at 50 percent fitness.

It wouldn’t be beneficial for either Alisson or the team. He is progressing, and while it may take a few more days, he is on the right track.

The final phase of rehabilitation is often when you question if he is truly ready or if he needs additional time, but he will be back in goal before December concludes.”

Diogo Jota has also been out for a similar duration due to a rib injury sustained during a 2-1 victory over Chelsea in early October.

Federico Chiesa has missed the last 12 matches and has faced fitness challenges since joining from Juventus in the summer.

Although he has returned to training, his availability for the upcoming match remains uncertain.
