Arsenal faces a setback as a key player may be sidelined for approximately eight weeks due to a recent development, according to reports. The player has recently undergone surgery to address the injury.

In a troubling update for Arsenal, it has been reported that a crucial player might miss about eight weeks of play due to recent developments.

Arsenal faces a significant setback as star defender Ben White is likely to be sidelined for approximately eight weeks due to a recent knee procedure, as reported by AFC AMDEN.

The account, known for its timely updates on the North London club and followed by notable journalists such as Kaya Kaynak, Simon Collings, Charles Watt, and Sami Mokbel on X (formerly Twitter), indicated that while the initial recovery timeline is around eight weeks, it could vary slightly.

This news pertains to White’s ongoing knee issue, which he has been managing for the past 18 months.

Earlier in the day, scout and Gunners insider Con Harrison provided a similar update, and AFC AMDEN has since elaborated on the situation.

An official announcement from Arsenal regarding White’s surgery is anticipated, marking a significant challenge for manager Mikel Arteta, given White’s crucial role and reliability since his arrival at the club.

Since joining in the summer of 2021, the 27-year-old has made 145 appearances for Arsenal. Reports first surfaced in March about his knee concerns, which have persisted throughout the 2023-24 season.

White has contributed both as a centre-back and right-back this season, and Arteta, along with the fans, will be hoping for his swift return.

Injuries have severely impacted Arsenal’s title aspirations this season, with Martin Ødegaard only recently regaining full fitness.

The Gunners struggled in his absence, suffering three losses and three draws across all competitions, and now face the challenge of coping without White for an extended period.

Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka are currently unfit after being substituted during the match against Chelsea on Sunday. As a result, they have withdrawn from international duty with England.

However, both players are anticipated to be available for selection when the Premier League resumes on November 23.
