Arsenal news: Neymar reacts to transfer speculation as Mikel Arteta faces another injury challenge

Neymar openly discusses transfer allegations, making his feelings known as the Brazilian star reacts to the situation.

Arsenal is preparing for their upcoming match against Bournemouth this weekend, with concerns regarding the fitness of several key players.

As the international break comes to a close, Arsenal is set to concentrate on a demanding schedule of fixtures.

The Gunners have started the season unbeaten and aim to maintain this momentum when they visit Bournemouth on October 19.

This match will be succeeded by a midweek encounter with Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League, followed by a significant showdown against league leaders Liverpool on Sunday.

However, the team is anxious about the fitness of several crucial players, including Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard. Here, Mirror Football provides the latest updates on Arsenal.

Neymar addresses transfer inquiries

Neymar humorously indicated his willingness to join Arsenal after boxing promoter and Gunners supporter Frank Warren encouraged him to make the move to the Emirates.

Currently playing for Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League, Neymar was present at Artur Beterbiev’s victory over Dmitry Bivol in Riyadh when he conversed with Warren.

In a widely shared video, Warren enthusiastically states, “This is the man! He’s coming to England to play for Arsenal! When are you coming to Arsenal? We need you!” Neymar chuckled in reply, saying, “You need me? I’m back, I’m back, I’m back!”

Martinelli injury update

Gabriel Martinelli has become the latest Arsenal player to experience an injury concern while on international duty.

The Gunners previously lost captain Odegaard due to an ankle injury sustained while representing Norway last month, and star player Saka suffered a knock during England’s 2-1 loss to Greece on Thursday.

The Brazilian Football Confederation has now reported that Martinelli underwent an MRI scan on his right calf, which revealed “a small area of muscle edema.” Nevertheless, he has chosen to remain with the national squad instead of returning to Arsenal for treatment.
