Liverpool is prepared to come to terms worth £62.4million with a “world-class” player.

Liverpool is on the verge of finalizing a deal worth £62.4 million with a top-tier player.

Despite the summer transfer window being open for over five weeks, Liverpool has yet to make any new signings to strengthen their team.

This has caused concern among fans, especially with rumors circulating about key players potentially leaving the club.

Alisson and Virgil van Dijk have attracted interest from Saudi Arabia, while Luis Diaz is reportedly a target for Barcelona.

Furthermore, Trent Alexander-Arnold is being monitored by Real Madrid as his current contract is due to expire at the end of next season.

Los Blancos have reportedly reached an agreement with the right-back, Alexander-Arnold, for a move to Estadio Santiago Bernabéu as a free agent next summer.

However, according to Dave Hendrick on The Daily Red Podcast (via Anfield Index), Liverpool is focused on securing the defender with a new long-term contract.

They are prepared to offer a four-year deal worth £300,000-a-week. If Trent accepts this offer, he will earn £62.4m over the next four years, making him one of the highest earners in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old player has become a key figure for the Merseyside club after progressing through their youth system.

Former Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has described Alexander-Arnold as a ‘world-class talent’. Therefore, retaining him would be a significant asset for the Anfield club if they are able to do so.
