Mikel Arteta has raised concerns about the potential absence of two Arsenal stars in the crucial encounter against Manchester United.

Ahead of the game against Man Utd, Mikel Arteta has raised concerns about the availability of two Arsenal players, underscoring the significance of the test to the team’s title credentials this weekend.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has stated that Bukayo Saka and Takehiro Tomiyasu will require evaluation before the upcoming clash with Manchester United in the Premier League this Sunday.

The Gunners are leading the table with 83 points, just one point ahead of Manchester City, who have a game in hand. It is crucial for the team to continue securing victories in order to remain in contention for the league title.

During the press conference today, Arteta disclosed that both Tomiyasu and Saka are uncertain for the match.

Tomiyasu did not attend a training session earlier this week, while Saka was seen with a bandage on his left leg due to a cut from a rough challenge by Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Christie.

Arteta mentioned that both players will need to be evaluated. He remains optimistic that their concerns can be addressed through another training session.

He stated, “There are a few uncertainties that we hope to resolve with another training session tomorrow. We’ll have to wait and see. Tomi and Saka have some doubts.”

Throughout the years, Arsenal has had a poor record at Old Trafford. They have only managed to win once in their previous 16 visits to the stadium in the league.

Therefore, the club will face a significant challenge to prove their title credentials this Sunday. United experienced a crushing 4-0 defeat by Crystal Palace on Monday night, highlighting their weaknesses.

Nonetheless, the Red Devils received positive news with the return of key players Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, and Scott McTominay from injury, boosting their squad for the upcoming weekend.

United is a formidable opponent at home and will aim to make it difficult for Arsenal. The Gunners might benefit from scoring an early goal to calm their nerves.
