Arsenal now back in the race to secure the signing of £50m+ striker for Arteta; he wants £200,000-a-week – Report…

Arsenal has re-entered the competition to acquire a striker worth more than £50 million for Arteta, with the player demanding a salary of £200,000 per week.

Arsenal’s pursuit of a £50m+ striker has reignited, signaling their determination to address the lack of a clinical goalscorer in their squad.

Despite Arsenal’s impressive performance this season, they have faced a significant challenge in finding a reliable goalscorer to lead their attack. This deficiency may once again prove costly in their pursuit of the Premier League title, prompting them to take action during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The struggles Arsenal has encountered in their frontline can be exemplified by examining two crucial matches in their recent history. A goalless draw against Manchester City and a 1-0 defeat against Bayern Munich, resulting in their elimination from the Champions League with a 3-2 aggregate score.

When goals were desperately needed, none of their forwards were able to deliver the clinical finishing required.

The Emirates seems determined to address the issue at hand, as they are now being linked to potential signings such as Ivan Toney and Viktor Gyokeres.

However, it remains uncertain whether Brentford’s Toney will indeed make the move. If not Toney, then Sporting CP’s Gyokeres could be a viable option, given his impressive performance this season.

Both choices have their merits, but recent reports indicate that Arsenal is refocusing their attention on a long-term target. Tuttosport suggests that the Gunners are once again in the race to secure the signature of Dusan Vlahovic, with a proposed deal worth €60m (£51m) for the upcoming summer transfer window.

However, Arsenal will proceed with caution, having experienced rejection from Vlahovic in the past when he opted to join Juventus in January 2022.

Now back on Arsenal’s radar, Vlahovic has the opportunity to leave behind a somewhat inconsistent period at Juventus and finally make his move to the Premier League.

This move could provide him with the platform to showcase his abilities and make a significant impact, something that Jesus has struggled to do despite his reported €12m-a-year (£200k per-week) wage demands.

Vlahovic’s clinical prowess surpasses that of Jesus, leaving uncertainty about Jesus’ future as he strives to regain his scoring form before the summer transfer window.

Arsenal, in their current position, would benefit from having more depth in their attacking options. Transitioning from having limited reliable choices to a multitude of capable players would be crucial for their success in all competitions next season.

Moreover, Vlahovic’s arrival would be highly anticipated as he possesses the quality to excel in the Premier League. Micah Richards, speaking on BBC Radio Five Live via The Independent in 2021, praised Vlahovic’s lightning speed and exceptional goal-scoring record of 16 goals in 18 matches this season. Richards emphasized Vlahovic’s remarkable left foot, describing it as a wand. In essence, Vlahovic embodies all the qualities necessary for a successful striker.

Therefore, if Arsenal can secure their long-term target this summer and resolve their striker issues, they will be hopeful that Vlahovic lives up to the expectations and contributes significantly to their team.
